{Ashes to Mathias} Dylan and Rio

Dylan knew that Rio had gone on to checkout a location that Mathias might be held at. She had paced their quarters most of the evening waiting for him to return. Waiting to hear if they had gotten Mathias back. She gone through her stash of chocolate and raided Savvy's cookie jar in the kitchen, but she was still jumpy and worried about him along with the others that went with him.

Dawn was drawing near and she was coming off her sugar high when she heard the door knob turn. Jumping up she saw him. He was dirty and needed a shower, but she didn't care. He was home and safe. Going over to him, she took his face in her hands and kissed him. "I'm glad you are home. I'm glad you are safe. Did you find Mathias?"

  Rio Atanacio *Cupping her face he soaked in her scent. Feeling her pulse radiate through him * Yes we have Mat. He's pretty beat up but alive. We found him imprisoned in one of Dragos's old facilities.

  Dylan Alexander She relaxed more knowing that Mat was safe. The males would be putting the pieces all together as Mat recovered, but for now they were all safe again. Smiling at him as she started to wipe a smudge off his cheek and realized that a shower would probably do him more good. "How about I start you a shower?"

  Rio Atanacio *Kissing her palm he pulls her to the couch.* Not yet. Let me hold you for a bit. *Settling her into his lap he holds her tight against him*

  Dylan Alexander *settled into his lap, she leaned her head on his shoulder* Do you think Mat was held there entire time? * she was curious if he had been moved from place to another and if that was why it had been so hard to find him at first*

  Rio Atanacio *Rubbing his hand up and down her spine he closed his eyes as the images of Mathias, beaten body formed in his mind* We aren't for sure, but I think Rivera was betting that we would never think he'd use his former bosses old lab. In fact it was only by chance that we chose to go to their versus another location.

  Dylan Alexander Fate drew you there, you were meant to find him and that's why you chose it. * She knew that Rio had great instincts and that it was sort of a smart move using Drago's old place, but it wasn't fail safe*

  Rio Atanacio *Sighs* Whether it was fate or just dumb luck, I'm glad we found him. I'm not sure if Mat would have lasted another twenty four hours. *Leaning his head back, he feels Dylan nestle her head into his shoulder.*

  Dylan Alexander No matter, what you all did good tonight and you all made it home safely. That's what matters Rio. * she lightly touched his cheek* You took out one of Rivera's labs and you got Mat back. Now I have you back with me. I promise to make sure you know how much you are loved.
