{Christmas 2014} Rio and Dylan

Rio had a few evenings off, so this year Dylan wanted to something special with him. She found a tree lot that was open late and they borrowed one of the suvs to go get a tree. They wondered around the lot until they found one they both liked and brought it back to their living quarters.
The boxes of ornaments were already sitting on the sofa and the base was in the corner near the fireplace ready for the tree. Rio took it over to the stand. Dylan watched him start to set it up with love for him in her eyes. He always made her smile and decorating for Christmas with him made her happy.
As he tightened the screws into the base, she held it straight. "I think you got it babe. It looks straight and isn't moving."
  • Rio Atanacio *Stepping back he asseses the tree's stance.* It's about as straight as it is going to get, I suppose. *Hunching down he begins to untangle the twisted string of lights* Perhaps we should have brough new lights.

  • Dylan Alexander *Sitting cross legged on the floor* We probably should have, but if we work together we'll have them untangled quickly. *she starts untangling another strand*

  • Rio Atanacio *Plugging in the strand he growls softly* Damn half the lights are unlit. *Taking out another tangled bundle of lights he quickly untwist the mass and again only half the lights illuminate.* Do you think we could put the two sets together? And it will look like a complet set.

  • Dylan Alexander *leans over kissing him, before tossing the lights aside* I don't think we needs lights this year. The lights on the mantle and fire will light the tree perfectly. *moves over to the sofa and gets a box of red ornaments* Lets decorate it.

  • Rio Atanacio *Placing the colorful glass orbs on the highest branches while his mate decorated the lower branches. He steps back to appraise their handy work.* Humm something is missing.

  • Dylan Alexander The star for the top. * turning around she sees the box and gets it and then hands it to him* This should complete it.

  • Rio Atanacio *Handing the star back to Dylan, he lift her up* I think you should have the honor.

  • Dylan Alexander *smiling as he held her up, she placed the star on the top* Perfect... *after he set her down she pulled him to the sofa and sat down to admire their work*

  • Rio Atanacio *Pulling her into his lap he kisses her gently* Merry Chrismas, babe.

  • Dylan Alexander *snuggles into his lap* Merry Christmas my love.

{Christmas 2014} Tavia and Corinne

*Pressing play on the CD player, I was in the mood for a little jazz music for Christmas, while I wrapped the rest of the presents. Singing along to the music of Ella Fitzgerald Winter Wonderland, thinking I was alone, tapping my foot to the beat* ~I love this music~
*Turning quickly when I heard foot steps walking my way, smiling widely when my sister Corinne walked in*

  • Corinne Bishop *Taking a seat opposite her friend watching with amazment as she swiftly wraps the packages.* Hi Tavia, finishing up your Christmas wrapping?

  • Tavia Chase Hello Corinne, I hope that you are doing well. *Finishing up a box* Yes I am finishing them, I have been so busy with meetings, I haven't had the down time to wrap these. *Clicking the volume up on the player* Isn't this one of your favorite singers?

  • Corinne Bishop *Picking up the ribbon and twirling it around her finger her head bobbing in time in time to the music* Ooo I love this song, Winter Wonderland. It brings back some nice memories. *She smiles as her thoughts go back to the first time Hunter and Nathan, built snow men*

  • Tavia Chase *Reaching out placing my hand on hers* I am so happy to see Nathan happy, I must say I loved when he hugged you. Do you remember whenHunter and Nathan tried to build snow men? *laughs softly* Mira and the other children ended up teaching them how to. *Leaning forward hugging her* Thank you for bringing joy to my brother's life.

  • Corinne Bishop *Laughing softly* You read my thoughts. I was thinking back to our first winter in Maine. Both my boys...*Shaking her head* I think for the first time in their lives they were afraid. They were definitly out of their element.

  • Tavia Chase *laughs* It was fun watching them learn from the little ones. I am thankful we have these memories of them. *looks at her* Can you believe our children are grown? Where did the time go? *Handing her a present* This is for you, my sister and I hope you will wear it on Christmas. *humming to the next song*

  • Corinne Bishop *Taking the colorful wrapped package she gisve it a gentle shake* You shouldn't have sis, but thank you. *Sighing she looks out the window* Yes we have the memories. I missed Nathan's early years but I don't plan to missed what the future hold for him. *Smiling* Who knows by this time next year I could be grandmother.

  • Tavia Chase We cannot control our past, I believe everything happens for a reason, and we are the people we are today because of the past. That would be wonderful to see you as a grandmother and you were wonderful to my twins, always helping me with them. *Looking outside at the snow flakes falling as Corinne unwrapped her present* I hope you like it, I had them made for all my sisters.

  • Corinne Bishop It's beautiful, Tavia. *Both stood and embraced* Thank you so much, I love it. And I'm sure the others will as well. *Looking up at the clock on the mantle* Oh my. It's late. I have get some laundry done.

  • Tavia Chase *Hugging her back* You are very welcome. *Walking with her into the kitchen for some peppermint hot chocolate and Savannah's peppermint bark. *winking at her* It is not Christmas until you have
drank this and eaten that! *embracing her again* I need to get back to work, I have a web meeting to attend in about thirty minutes. I think we should do this more often Corinne, it was fun listening to music.
