Status: Aine

Aine Declain   *Looking out the window, sighing as the snow continues to pile up. I hated not being able to run outside. Pulling on my workout clothes, I grab a water bottle, my ipod And a towel and head down to the Dome's workout center. After signing in, I make my way to a treadmill, pop in my earbuds and start it out slow. Letting my muscles slowly stretch and wake up. I notch it up to a jog and eventually into a run. The distance stacks up as I let the music carry my thoughts away. When My body finally demanded that I slow down, I eased the speed down and to a stop. Mopping my face and neck with my towel, I suck down a few long swallowing water.

Hearing a loud scream, I turn my head to the sound. It wasn't one of fear, but of frustrated anger. Walking towards the sound, I see a slightly older female punching a hanging bag. Tilting my head as I stand and watch her, I'm fascinated at how I could literally see her frustrations drain with every punch. She turns her head and sees me staring at her*

"Can I help you?" *She didn't seem annoyed to catch me, but curious as to my interest* I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bother you or to stare. But I've never... *Not quite sure how to Finnish the sentence, I let it drop away.

Instead of asking me to finish, she simply smiles at me and asks* "You don't box, do you?"

*I shake my head in reply and she nods* "Would you like to try? I can show you how."

Are you sure you wouldn't mind?

"Not at all. It's a great stress relief and you dear, look a little tense."

*Biting my lip, I make a small snort* I usually just get a massage.

"That only eases the muscles. Boxing gets it all out of your system." *She takes my hand and leads me over to a bench. She pulls out a roll of tape and a roll of wrap and starts to wrap my hands. She goes slow and explains to me the why' s and how's of everything she does. When she's finished, she leads me back to the bag and shows me how to stand and how to turn my body as I punch, making sure I follow all the way through. She stands back and watches as I throw punch after punch, giving me instructions when needed. I had watched the fights in the ring dozens of time, but I never realized how freeing this was. Finally she lays a hand on my shoulder.*

"That's probably enough for your first time. You're a fast learner."
Thank you. *She hands me my water and starts installing my hands*

"You'll want to take a hot shower and rub your hands down and take some ibuprofen. You'll be sore. And probably a little surprised at how much so." *She hands me the wrap and tape rolls* "These will get you started until you can get your own. I can tell from war hung you that this won't be your last time."

Definitely not. I loved it. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach me.

"I'm glad I could pass a love of it along. Maybe we'll meet up another time and can spar a little."

That would be great. I live and work here so it's very possible we will run into each other again. My name is Aine by the way.

"Dalia. Nice to meet you. I need to run. Don't forget what I said, you'll be sore."

I won't. Have a nice day. Bye. "Bye" *Grabbing my stuff, I head back to the Penthouse for a hot shower. I would have to look into getting some proper gear. I'm sure Satora knew what to get and where. I'd have to give her a call later.*
