*Leaving Gideon to
his work after their brief conversation, he heads towards the garage and climbs
into the pickup truck. Niko has installed the proper hitching system and he is eager to complete his task and return to the compound as soon as possible. Making his way off the grounds he feels his mate, she is still happily sharing her time with the other breedmates; by the time they finish their meal and movie, he will have returned. Driving through the night the time passes quickly, the forty minute drive out of the city goes by without complication. Upon arriving at the stables, he is informed that Lilly is loaded up onto the trailer and ready for transport. Looking in on the mare as she fidgets and paws at the trailer, a habit the trainer informs him that Lily possesses which shows her anxiety and boredom from not being in motion, the trainer hands over his card, in case his services are needed or there are any further questions. Extending a hand, he thanks the trainer for his help he returns to the pickup, His mind turning to his mate and how much joy this surprise will bring her, he sends a group text out to Gideon, Tess, Kade and
Elise, letting everyone know they will be arriving within the hour*
Gabrielle M. Thorne *Cuddled up on
the couch after a wonderful meal Savannah cooked. She made it special just for her and her sisters, feeling her mate drawing closer to her and knowing it‘s to early for him to be home from the office she begins to get antsy. Looking to Tess and Elise she excuses herself with a
smile and walks out the back door toward the stables. All she knows is he’s
excited and being a bit mischievous. Nearing the barn a soft light catches her
eye, realizing its Lilly’s stall bolts of excitement run through her* He
didn’t...*Her hand over her mouth she realizes* Oh my..He did, he brought her
home. *Running to the stable, calling to him, then losing all thought as she
sees her mate brushing Lilly’s burnt red coat* Baby.......you brought her
home....
Lucan Thorne *Hearing soft footsteps
in the grass, he scents jasmine in the air and feels joy ringing through him as Gabrielle draws near with the realization
that Lilly is home. He continues the calm brushing of Lilly's coat to keeping
her sedate and happy. As Gabrielle wraps her arms around his waist and slides
up under his arm for a kiss, he reaches into his pocket and hands her an apple*
Gabrielle M. Thorne *Taking the apple
from his hand, turning to Lilly and nervously trying to feed her. Her hand
shaking as she moves it closer.* I hope she likes it here baby....with
us..*Calming as your hand slides down her arm and over her trembling fingers,
your words whispered lightly in her ear just before you pull it between your
lips* She will baby, she's home now.
Lucan Thorne *Easing his hand over
his mate's, he gently opens her palm, holding it steady as she laughs while
Lilly flaps her large wet lips all over, taking the apple and chuffing through
her nostrils. While Lilly devours her snack, his mate smothers him with
affection, hugging him tight and covering his face with kisses. Letting her
show her joy, he smiles, holding her close as she moons over him and their new
family addition*
Gabrielle M. Thorne *Cuddling in his arms as they sit in the corner of the stall, watching as Lilly checks out her new home. Keeping her voice low she lets her mate know just how wonderful this gift was to her. Slowly standing and wondering over to her new friend she smiles and calls her name. Noticing how uninterested Lilly is at the moment she moves a little closer and lightly says her name one more time.* Lilly, welcome home baby. *Reaching out to stroke her fingers along her back she foolishly moves a bit to fast startling her. Before she knows it her mate is on his feet standing between her and Lilly with a warning in his eye*
Lucan Thorne *Sensing he change in
the horses demeanor before she has time to react, He flashes in front of his
mate, reaching a protective arm behind him to calm her and let her know she is
safe. Looking Lilly in the eye and speaking to her in a firm soft voice, before
reaching out his other hand to stroke her neck* Ok girl, your fine, no need to
be frightened. * bringing Gabrielle slowly around in front of him
he watches as she reaches up to pet Lilly*
Gabrielle M. Thorne Baby, sssshhhhh its ok.... I am not going to harm you. I have wished you here to stay with us, to have a family who loves you and will take care of you. *Slowly running my fingers along her mane, watching her eye movement and listening to her hoof scrape on the floor* I promise you this is your home now...you are free to roam and live. * Looking back at her mate as Lilly settles beneath her touch* She's going to be fine, look at her...she's going to be just fine...
