Mathias Rowan
*Walking through the shopping corridors of the
Dome, he shuddered thinking about the hordes of humans that had trampled
through the area throughout the day. He had never understood the phenomenon but
now might be the time to scout out the area and its security. He looked up,
drawn to the sign with the crescent and teardrop on it. He decided it was time
to get a little closer and walked through the door, inhaling more scents than
even his Breed senses could sort at the moment.*
Aine Declain *Pushing the hair from
my face as I replace the books that customers had left laying around the
reading nook and left on different chairs. Hearing the bell on the door chime,
I call out* I'll be right with you!
Mathias Rowan *Not bothering to
answer, he scanned the small crowd still milling through the store. Nothing
caught his attention so he moved on to the merchandise and was struck by the
stunning beauty of some of the older pieces. He looked at one vase closely, it
looked so familiar yet he knew he would have remembered it if he had ever seen
it. Stopping himself from touching it, he looked over the store recalling the
details from the Order's report.*
Aine Declain *Placing the last book
on the shelf, walking to the front counter to ring up a customer. My eyes
roaming around the shop. A tall, very handsome male catching my eye. Smiling
and making small talk as I ring up and carefully wrap the customer's purchase,
waiting for him to turn around. When he finally does, I recognize him from the
Grand Opening. Making my way over to his side, putting on my best smile* Can I
help you find anything Mr ? *raising a brow hoping he'll fill in the blank*
Mathias Rowan *Looking down into her
face, he cocked his head to the side and smirked, holding out his hand and
bringing it to his lips when she placed hers within his.* Mathias Rowan, at
your service. Beautiful shoppe, ma'am.
Aine Declain *My smile widens at the
kiss to my hand* Thank you, Mr. Rowan. I'm Aine. It's a pleasure to see you
again. I was wondering when you would stop in. You caused quite a stir among
the owners at the opening.
Mathias Rowan *He arched a brow at
her comment.* Interesting, all I did was show up from the invitation. It is a
pleasure to formally meet you. You always seem to be...surrounded in the past.
Aine Declain *laughs* Yes, I'm well
watched. *gestures to all the cameras around the ceiling of the shop* So what
brings you in tonight? Shopping for your mate?
Mathias Rowan *He nodded at the
fixtures that he had already taken note of before smiling at her.* No mate for
me, but yours must consider you a treasure. *His eyes narrowed at her
familiarity with the Breed but instinctively knew she would not respond to any
personal questions about her history.* Have you had any additional trouble with
unwanted guests?
Aine Declain *shakes my head* A male,
yes. But that would be my father, not a mate. *turns to straighten a display as
I choose the words of my answer carefully* Word does get around fast sometimes.
No, Mr. Rowan, I haven't had any more unwanted guests. And I pray, for their
sakes, that they are never caught.
Mathias Rowan *Watching her intently,
listening to her body language as much as the words she speaks. He is surprised
the male is her father but manages to hide his reaction.* I am pleased to hear
that there have been no other problems. *He removed a business card with his
JUSTIS information listed from his wallet and handed it to her.* If you ever
need help, I would be glad to be of assistance especially since I live in the
complex.
Aine Declain *Holds back a smile,
taking the card and reading it, my smile quickly fading. Slipping the card into
my pants pocket, schooling my reaction* Thank you kindly, but my father, Mr.
Rivera and Miss Razza provide all the help and protection I need. And some that
I don't.
Mathias Rowan *Smirking and leaning
in a little closer to her, he whispered in her ear.* I was not offering
protection, Miss Aine.
Aine Declain *smirks, whispering
back* If you can make it to the Penthouse unscathed, we'll talk about the
services you'd like to offer.
Mathias Rowan *Arching his brow
again, he picked her hand up and kissed the knuckles.* I see you like to live
dangerously. Perhaps you will be seeing me again in the future. *He winked as
he walked toward the exit.* Have a good evening, sweetheart.
Aine Declain *giggles walking back to
the register to take care of another customer ~He's going to be a lot of fun to
get to know better~ Handing back the change* Have a nice night. And thank you
for shopping at Teardrops.
