{Atlanteans} Teardrops From the Moon - Grand Opening Ceremony

Teardrops From the Moon - Grand Opening {Atlanteans}: November 2, 2013
Dia: *Pacing the office, I look down into the atrium where the crowd was gathering. The big night was finally here after so many delays. Reaching for the phone to find out where the hell Meison was I hear the click of the door as Satora enters the office followed by my partner and Aine. Growling* It's about bloody time you got your asses here. I was about to have the ceremony start with out you.

Satora: ~I looked up at Dia then glanced at my watch pointedly.~ A little impatient are we? Everything is fine, I had to settle a few last minute issues but it has been taken care of. Evening Mr.DeclainAine

Meison: *Extending my hand forward to shake with Dia despite his impatience* Relax. Tonight will go splendidly if not, there will be dire consequences to those who interrupt our joyous occasion. Aine, dearest, are you ready for your big unveil?

Aine: *leaning against the wall just inside the door, my stomach in knots over the opening of my shop. Turning when I hear my name, giving Meison my sweetest smile* As I can be.

Mathias: *He looked out at the crowd gathering below, scanning the area for signs of trouble. He never liked crowds and mixing humans, Breeds, and alcohol was never a good idea to him. He would take his time and gather as much information as he could. He was curious to know what, and not just who, was behind this concept.*

Dia: *Taking our places on the stage. I look across the crowd. There are several influential Breed leaders along with government officials and their date. The mayor of the city gives the opening speech, followed by several government dignitaries. When all the honored guest had spoken Meison and I take the floor.* Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to thank you for coming this evening to celebrate the Grand Opening of the state of the art, multi functional complex......*Finishing my speech I turn and introduce my partner and associates to the crowd*

Satora: ~I followed Dia down to the reception area and nodded to each of my guards as we passed. They had strict orders for tonight and disobedience was not among them, nor was trouble. Anything out of the ordinary was to be dealt with quietly and quickly. Stepping up to the stage, I surveyed the area again watching Dia's back as he made his speech. My gaze strayed to the Declain's, still intrigued by their presence.~

Meison: *Taking a sip of wine, I continued the speech that Dia had began* It is our hope that this will foster a connection between the Breed, humans and perhaps other creatures that might inhabit this earth *Chuckling, a clue that everyone else should join in the "joke"* As you can see for yourselves, we've spared no expense. This is a vision that my partner and I fully understand and hope to see to fruition *Raising my glass in salute* To the promising future

Aine: *Following behind my father, standing slightly off to the side holding my glass of wine. Shaking my head at his attempt at a joke. Taking a small sip as I look out over the crowd. Giving Meison's cheek a kiss as he comes back to stand beside us* Very well said. You've always had such a way with words.

Mathias: *He listened to the cookie cutter speeches and worked his way up to the "officials". It was time to meet all the players in this little game. Dia took the scissors from a lackey and stood at the ribbon ready to cut it and as he looked around at the observers, I made sure he was aware of me. Smirking, he lifted his glass to Dia and mouthed "congratulations".*

Dia: As I cut the ribbon I locked gazes with a face from the past. Leaning towards Satora. I whisper* Looks like we have a visitor from the past. Keep an eye on him. If he's around then there may be others from The Order close by.

Satora: ~Nodding to let him know I heard, I eyed the Agent. It was not a surprise that he was present since he lived in the apartment complex but I was surprised to see him front and center. I reached down and felt the hilt of my knife letting him follow my move. I gave the Agent a smirk of my own and tipped my glass at him.~

Meison: *It was interesting to watch, the power play between us all. I frowned internally, making sure to keep the disturbance off my face. The agent from a few months ago had made another bold appearance. It would soon be time to deal with him once and for all* Aine, is there anything you would like to share with our guests? Perhaps invite them to buy some authentic pieces

Aine: *watching Dia and Satora closely, following their gazes and the way they look at the Breed male up front. Turning my attention to Meison as he asks me to speak, trying to hold back a groan* Oh you know how much I hate speaking in public. *sighs* But if it will make you happy, I will. *walking up to the mic, I let me eyes flow over the crowd* I'd like to invite you all to enjoy the shops and stores that have not been previously open. Teardrops from the Moon is one that is opening tonight. Please feel free to browse and maybe take home something special.

Mathias: *He watched the play and smiled to himself, moving closer as Dia and his party started to mingle after the speeches. He caught up with the beautiful young lady, curious to know how she fit in to all of this.* Interesting name for a shoppe. Any meaning behind it?

Dia: *Making my way through the crowd toward followed closely by Meison we make our way to Mathias. Stopped by a group of reporter. I look back at my business partner.* I'll take care of the press you keep an eye on your daughter. That cop is up to no good.

Satora: ~Keeping a small distance from Dia, I looked around the crowd, bored and wondering if I could find a distraction. I watched Meison frowning at the interaction of his daughter and the Agent and tried to get a feel for what was going on but I got nothing. Stepping up beside him, I whispered.~ She is all grown up, Mr. Declain. However, he is Breed and would have no real interest in her.

Meison: It matters not. She is my daughter and I must protect her *Walking up to the scene, I slide an arm around Aine protectively. It was a silent nod that she didn't have to answer anything. I would handle this* I see you've taken an interest in another situation. I'm curious to know what your business is here

Aine: *smiling at the male before me* Thank you. It was from...*feeling an arm wrap around my shoulder, I turn and see the unhappy look in my father's eyes and the clipped tone of his voice* Daddy, he's a guest and I'm sure he means no harm. *smiles again at the male as I pull out from under Meison's arm and link mine through it* I'm sorry, but we have some things that need to be attended to concerning the shop. Enjoy your evening.

Mathias: *He arched his brow at the male.* Why I was invited to this little shindig. Did you not see my name on the invitation list? *He had a look of mild surprise before schooling his features.* Well, well. It looks like someone had a little miscommunication. No problem, I'll be around for awhile. I'll be sure to catch you later. Miss Declain, we shall finish this conversation another time. *Nodding to the ladies, he stepped away, knowing he would be the topic of their conversations in the future. They knew he was there so his mission was accomplished.*
