{More Atlanteans} Eli, Mal, and Aric

*Immediately after we park we do a weapons and ammo check. I reflexively check my ankle straps for my combat blades and smile when I see Malcolm grab a badass looking claymore... When we are satisfied we are prepared for whatever eventuality we might find, we start walking towards the dock's offices.*

  • Malcolm MacBain *Staying within the shadows they make their way past the barricades. Two ships were in dock and all was quiet except for the sound of the water as it lapped against the hull of the ship. With Elijah and Aric close behind him they slipped in the dark office.* Look for the manifest lads. Hopefully it will give us a clue to what's been going on.
  • Aric Chase *he heads for the furthest file cabinet while Eli heads for the other end. They begin to quickly go through everything, file by file. Anything that looked remotely important was placed on the desk for Malcolm to weed through. Going drawer by drawer, they quickly dig through the drawers, not being quiet in their haste. At a sudden motion from Eli everyone falls silent as footsteps walk by the door.* Damn. *He whispers.* That was close.

  • Elijah Breed *After the footsteps sound fades away, I stop going through the file cabinets and look at the computer station . I smile. If I learned anything from Gideon , I could probably do a basic hack of the system. Sitting at the terminal, my fingers fly on the keyboard. These guys weren't creative enough to keep me from accessing their electronic files. I start looking at the latest manifestos when something catches my eye* Malcolm , Aric lookie here... A vessel named Queen of the Seas...what an odd manifesto! Transporting "personnel" for their Aberdeen offices? But this is a cargo ship!

  • Malcolm MacBain *Peeking through the slates of the blinds he watched as three heavily armed males pass in front of the building and then stopped. They were huddled in conversation before one of them broke off and disappeared around the corner* Eli, Aric I think we are about to have company. *As he spoke the last word several shots were fired, shattering glass through out the room. Hitting the floor he quickly drew his weapon and returned fire* ARIC, ELI, let's get the hell out of here!

  • Aric Chase * They hit the ground as the bullets and glass fly through the office. He quickly makes his way toward to door at the back of the office, Eli and Malcolm on his heels. He throws open the door and fires a few rounds before entering the hallway. He watches as the bullets rip into the guards body. He grins, waiting for the human to fall. instead the guard growls and launches at him.* Oh hell. No guns! No guns!. These aren't humans. *He dodges to the side and pulls out his blade, just in time to fend off a powerful swing of the guards sword. Growling with rage, his eyes instantly transforming in his anger, he combats with the guard, hoping for a lucky break. The guard swings again, giving him the opening he needed. With a quick jab, he knocks the guard off balance and, in one quick step, buries his knife in his neck. With a feral roar he twists the knife and rips it out sideways, decapitation the guard.*

  • Elijah Breed *A bright light poured out of the guard's severed neck just as a symbol started to form on the palm of his hand, illuminated from within...a teardrop falling in the cradle of a crescent moon. Exactly like Kellan and Nathan had reported during their respective debriefings at headquarters... GODDAMNED ATLANTEANS.

Eli assessed the situation in front of him with cold efficiency. He was Nathan 's second in command and his captain had trained him mercilessly and tirelessly to face situations like this. His training clicked on in a matter of seconds. Three soldiers, one down. Aric had done a work of beauty on that Atlantean! The two remaining wielded swords...tactical disadvantage for Eli, who only had his combat blades on him. However, they looked momentarily disoriented by their comrade's death. Eli smiled. Tactical advantage for him.

Using all of his Breed preternatural speed, Eli rushed to the soldier closest to him. He vaulted up and pivoted in mid air kicking the sword out of the stunned Atlantean hand. Using the momentum of his kick, he cut the soldier's throat cleanly and deeply. When the Atlantean stumbled to the floor Eli pinned him with his knee, grabbed him by the hair and finished the decapitation with another cut from his serrated combat blade. Another bright beam of light erupted from the soldier's severed neck. He turned around on his heels to check out on Aric and Malcolm *

  • Malcolm MacBain *With his claymore held high and fangs bared he let out a deadly roar as he sprinted after the third male. His muscles ached as he struggled to close the distance. Rounding a corner he came to a sudden halt. His opponent had no place to go* Hold it right there mate. Don't make this any harder on yerself than necessary. *The male stood there unmoving his legs braced widely apart as he stared into Malcom's eyes Slowly opening his hand he revealed a small tear drop crystal. Speaking in a tongue the warrior didn't not recognize the small jewel started to glow. As the warrior took a step towards his adversary the male suddenly disappeared in a bright light.* WHAT the hell? *Whipping around at the sound of running foot steps he quickly relaxed when he realized it was the young warriors* HE's gone. Vanished!

{More Atlanteans} Aric, Eli, and Mal

Malcolm brings Elijah and I up to speed on the short flight to Aberdeen. We head over to the morgue to examine the Breed body, hoping for some further clues.

  • Elijah Breed *The deceased was a young Breed, much too young for their liking. The human doctor that let them into the morgue produced his autopsy chart* Obviously , this Breed died of a point blank gunshot to the head. Nevertheless, I found evidence of severe bruising on his body. *Lifting the sheet that covered the body* Take a look...

  • Malcolm MacBain *Shaking his head at the sight of the youth laid out on the cold steel, He growled in anger at the site of the mutilated body. The doctor had taken medical liberties with the Breed.* You had to cut up the body to determine he died to a gunshot wound to the head? * The medical examiner quickly dropped the sheet and stepped back. Stuttering, it is standard procedure when a body is found.* Well then in your examination can you tell us anything? *Looking down at his tablet he reported that there were multiple contusions and the subject was shot in the back of the head, no birth marks but there was a tattoo on his left deltoid, a scarab. Walking to the left side of the table he looks at the familiar tattoo*

  • Aric Chase *he watches as Malcolm examines the body. The boy didn't look any more than 18 years old. His glyphs were just a hint darker than his pasty skin, the tattoo a stark contrast. The tips of his fangs were barely visible between his lips. He nudges Elijah, nodding toward the chart.*see if there is anything they aren't telling us. *As Eli reaches for the chart, he pulls the medical examiner aside, asking inane questions to keep him occupied so he doesn't notice.*

  • Elijah Breed *While Malcolm and Aric distract the examiner, I grab the autopsy chart and start reading. Skimming through the cause of death, I discover that there was no water in his lungs, so he was already dead when he hit the water ... The deceased exhibited some very pronounced defensive wounds. This gives me pause. I look at the corpse again focusing on the tips of his fangs that were visible between the lips. Hmmm... Defensive wounds and visible fangs... This Breed was obviously defending himself again someone. The Breed in general don't feel the need to defend themselves against humans so this meant another Breed...or something else.

I inconspicuously return the chart to its place and listen to the conversation but my mind is somewhere else, recalling the most recent events over at headquarters.*

  • Malcolm MacBain Aric, snap a picture of the lad, we'll enter it into the data bank and hopefully ID him. *Pointing at the medical examiner* Put his body in deep freeze, And not another incision on the body. *Digging the keys from his pocket he heads towards the door.* Laddies let's head to the docks, we have some fishing to do.

  • Aric Chase *he snaps a couple of pictures of the body and follows Malcolm with a glare toward the M.E., Elijah close on his heels. As they climb into the vehicle he questions Eli.* Did you get anything from the report bro?

  • Elijah Breed *I proceed to put Malcolm and Aric up to speed with my findings* I don't like this, y'all... That young Breed was fighting for his life. They found some pretty major defensive wounds on his hands, plus his fangs were elongated... I think we are in for a nasty surprise on the docks.

{More Atlanteans}

lf. Pushing back his chair he starts to pace. Too many young Breed males had been found dead and there were even more human's dead. All had died violently and all bore the same tattoo. Even worse was the rumors that the blood clubs were picking up in popularity and humans were being transported between the US and Europe and Asia. Returning to his deck he pulls up the picture of the sun with a crescent moon and tear drop. This symbol had been found on several intercepted human cargo containers. So far he had hit a brick wall on its meaning. He had contacted Lucan Thorne about the activities and the deaths. The Order's leader was unfazed about the report until he was shown the symbol. Briefly putting the Scot on hold he came back to say that he was sending Elijah and Aric to Scotland and for him not to discuss this with any of the members of JUSTIS. Leaning back he looks up at the old grandfather clock as it chimed. Midnight, the young warriors should be here soon. As he reach into his pocket to call he heard a Texas drawl laced voice in the hallway.*

  • Elijah Breed *It had been a long flight to Glasgow. Lucan's orders had been succinct and without much detail. Nevertheless, Aric and himself had been eager to team up with Malcolm and they had enthusiastically agreed to fly to Europe on such a short notice. As they were arriving to the Mac Bain castle, Eli looked up and noticed the red tinge of tonight's moon. He felt a shudder deep within his bones...the blood moon. Bad omen.* Ma'am, we are here to see Mr. Mac Bain. Can you announce us, please?

  • Aric Chase *following Elijah into the building, he takes a good look around while they waited. They had received minimal instructions along with a sealed envelope that was to be hand delivered to Malcolm only. They had a lot of unanswered questions about this last minute mission and both Eli and himself were impatient for answers. Malcolm came into the room and gestured for them to follow.

  • Malcolm MacBain *Closing the door he takes a seat behind the wooden desk as the two warriors settle into the large Italian leather chairs.* Welcome lads. I trust you had a good flight.

  • Elijah Breed *Thanks, Malcolm. We did have a good flight though I have to say we are intrigued about what might have prompted Lucan to send us here in such a haste. Speaking of... *I hand in a white manilla envelope over to Mal* Lucan sends this. He said he will contact us to provide a mission status and share intel.

  • Aric Chase *he waits as Malcolm opens the envelope and reads the information it held. Looking around the office his gaze takes in the decor. The McBain coat of arms covered one wall. Embroidered tapestries hung on the other walls, interspersed with pictures of Danika, Malcolm, Connor, and numerous other breed, breedmates, and extended clan. He focuses on one of the tapestries. The style seemed very similar to the one that hung in Lucans office, the one Kassia created. He wondered if this one was as well. Malcolm cleared his throat, awaiting his attention.* I apologize Sir.

  • Malcolm MacBain *Taking the papers out of the envelope he reads with interest. There was a list of companies through out the world using various forms of the logo and the names of know mobster and minor petty criminals but the two names that caught his full attention was Dia Rivera and Meison Declain. Stuffing the papers and photos back in to the envelope, he couldn't help but notice Aric's interest in the decor of his office.. * Sorry? For what lad?

  • Aric Chase *he sits straight in the chair.* for my distraction. That tapestry, *he points* the style is familiar to me. I have grown up in the compound, Lucans tapestry was a fascination for me. This one seems similar.

  • Elijah Breed *My eyes instantly go to the tapestry adorning Malcolm 's office wall. Having been in Lucan's office just a few times, I was not familiar with what Aric was referring to. I look at Mal inquisitively*

  • Malcolm MacBain *Slightly smiling* Tapestries. An art that ladies once engaged in, they often told stories, or in the case of Lucan's tapestry leave clues to a mystery. *Opening the drawer to his desk he pulls out his tablet and brings up some photos.* Now for the reason you are here. The other night I got a report from Aberdeen that a cargo of humans was intercepted and a young Breed found dead. The captain and crew were gone but they found some papers. with this symbol, a sun with a Breedmate mark. Of course I called Lucan to inquire if he had seen this in the colonies and his response was to keep quiet and he was sending the both of you over. *Stands and paces* The information in that packet has a listing of companies to cross reference and several pages of low lifes on each continent. But the names that jumped out at me was Rivera's and Declain's. It seems that those two are enterprising gents. Care to enlighten me?

  • Elijah Breed *I chuckle sarcastically at the mention of those two.* It makes perfect sense that Rivera's and Declain's names are at the top of this mess. They have been on the Order's radar for a while now. Remember that we intercepted a cargo boat loaded with humans intended for blood sport almost a year ago? And the visit we paid to Declain's daughter shop? Maybe they decided to change venues after we intervened with them in America.... *Smirking* They are deluded if they think they can escape us by moving shop to Europe!

  • Aric Chase *he listened to Eli explain what we knew about Declain & Rivera. An uneasy feeling hit his gut when Eli mentioned Aine, he knew her. He had met her, the first time when he had been out hiking, the second was at the Dome. The mall that was reportedly owned and run by the two partners. He shook his head, bringing himself back to the conversation.* we know that Rivera is breed, but this Declain character is just a human. I've met his daughter, on a couple of occasions, she has no breedmark, no scent. Why would they be in league with a lowlife like Dia? I don't believe Jenna or Dare were able to come up with much on the symbol either, not that I've heard of at least.*He looked to Malcolm* What's the plan, Sir? We are at your disposal.

  • Malcolm MacBain *Shaking his head in thought* Who know about these humans. They risk their lives in hope of aligning themselves with a Breed and being a Napoleon on their turf. And despite themselves we have to protect them. *Looking up at the clock as it chimes* It's 0130, we have a few hours before sunrise. Lets head to Aberdeen. I'd like to see what they found out about that Breed and shift thought the port logs. Perhaps the three of us can dig up something.
