*Laying on the couch, she closed her eyes and listened to the sounds around her. No voices, but the silence was just as deafening at times. The soundproof walls allowed very little through and tonight she wished for the noise of her children. To hug Camden one more time and straighten his collar or dress him up for Halloween. She sighed thinking about her Micah. He was such a delight for her. She smiled a little at the memories of dressing him up. Opening her eyes, the smile left her as she stared at the emptiness of their quarters. Today, the silence only reminded her of everything she had lost. The sad times were rare these days, but not today. Not the fall. Not the cooler weather. They were all reminders. She sat up quickly and hugged the pillow, the tears falling despite her resistance. Yeah, today was not the day.*
