Compound: A meeting with Wee Angus

  • Reaching out to stroke the little creature's back. He begins to talk to it, with the sweet comforting tones that only babies, small pets or a beautiful woman can evoke in grown men. The greedy cat begins to purr, rolling onto his back to beg a belly rub. Which he thoroughly enjoys while it lasts. Light footsteps in the hall alert both predators to the arrival of a certain breed female.

    Carys Chase
Angus...Angus. Here kitty..Where are you? * Carys padded down the hallway in her bare feet. She hadn't been home from the museum long and had changed clothes, settling in to read when she noticed Angus had disappeared. Normally she wouldn't mind but when she went to find him he wasn't in her families suiet. He must have snuck past her when she entered. Now, she had to find him before he got himself and her into trouble. Slowly she walked down tthe main hall, passing Gideon in his room of computers, the Breed male didn't even look up as she passed meaning he was busy and the doors where shut tight, no cat in there. As she moved forward she passed the library, a quick check found no sleeping cat there either. The big kitchen could be where he was and she was about to head that way when dread filled her. What if.. No he wouldn't go there, would he? Her steps hurried as she made her way to her uncles office. Lucan could be in his and Aunt Gabrielle M. Thorne's suiet but as she got closer to his office she noticed the door ajar and heard her uncle talking to someone in the soft tones she remembered from her childhood. She facepalmed..* Damn it Angus.. * Putting a smile on her face she knocked lightly on the door and heard Lucan Thorne's voice. "Miss Chase. May I have a word?" It was more command than question and she entered the outer office before going into his. She swallowed and opened his door. * Hi Uncle Lucan. What can I do.. * She froze when she saw Angus on her Uncles desk blinking happily at her.*
    • Lucan Thorne *Staring across the desk at the statuesque beauty that his breed niece had grown into, he narrowed his eyes slightly*. I'm assuming that this beast belongs to you?
    • Carys Chase Um.. Yes? I mean, yes sir he does and I don't know how he got out and into your office, I mean, he gets out sometimes but. * Her uncles level gaze had her clamping her mouth shut. She shifted foot to foot nervously.* I promise it won't happen again..Please don't make me get rid of him, UncleLucan..
    • Lucan Thorne *Sensing her unease, he makes an effort to soften his features, and reaches out to pet the cat once more*. It seems your little creature here, has taken a liking to my desk. I do not want to come in here and find claw marks in it. Do we understand each other Carys?
    • Carys Chase Yes sir, I understand. * She smiled a little at her beloved Uncle and walked closer to the desk. Angus was purring, delighted with Lucan. The cat blinked at Carys and she reached across the desk to pick him up and hold him close to her.* I'll make sure he doesn't come back here, sir. Thank you..*She kissed the top of the cats head and turned to go. Stopping she turned back and smiled wide. * I remember coloring at your desk. * She laughed a little.* Your office was always a great place to hide when Aric and Dare got tired of me following them. * She hugged the cat a little tighter.* Thanks again Uncle Lucan, really. *With his nod she turned and left his office, closing the door behind her and scolding the still purring beast in her arms. *
