Dome: A Trip To The Dome- Aric-Carys-Rune

*After getting cleaned up from the Lilly debacle he grabbed his keys and headed off to the Dome. There were a few things he needed to pick up and he was hoping to run into that cute shop owner Aine. He parks and heads inside, perusing the windows on his way to one of his favorite shops. He turns a corner and runs smack into another customer. Looking up, he begins to apologize until he sees who he ran into* Of all the rotten luck, Hello Rune

  Rune Breed *He grunted low as the daywalker bounced off his chest.* Chase, you really should watch where you are going. *He tugged on Carys' hand, pulling her behind him. He was not going to let her hothead brother do anything to hurt her. The kiosk for the phones was right ahead. What the hell had possessed him to do this now? Oh yeah, daylight outside the Dome, he thought the rest of the Breed, especially the Order would be home in bed.*

  Carys Chase * She peeked around Rune to see her brother Aric standing there. The hard look in his eyes made her frown in his direction as Rune tugged her toward the kiosk. * Aric.. * She smiled at her twin and hurried after Rune, hoping like hell they'd both be civil in a public place.*

  Aric Chase *He stared incredulously as Carys quickly whispered his name before following Rune* Just wait a damn minute. I stopped by your room earlier, Sis. You never even came home last night, did you? Where were you? With Him? *givingRune a dirty look* Why? *Rune turned and stepped between him and Carys. As much as he wanted to rip the stupid cage fighter apart, he knew he couldn't do it in front of the many witnesses wandering the mall. He growled low and reached deep, trying to unclench his fists before responding to Rune's threats* Dude, first of all, buy yourself some breathmints, you take morning breath to a whole new level. Second, if you know what is good for you, you will never again get between my sister and I. I am trying to be nice here, but I only have so much "nice" before I just start cracking heads.

  Rune Breed *He stopped and sighed heavily, crossing his arms and tuckingCarys hand in his elbow. Two fucking minutes later and he would have escaped this.* You are welcome to try, kid.   Carys Chase Aric.. *She all but hissed his name as she looked between the two of them.* Yeah, I was home for a while last night and then I left again, no biggie, you're probably the only one that noticed I was gone. Now, I love you and the fact that you worry but, I'm fine. I promise. * She looked up at Rune and smiled softly.* I am in no danger..

  Aric Chase *he growls low in his throat. Just the thought of his sister with that creep drove him insane. He almost lost it when the video had been leaked a few months back. But the look in her eyes when she glanced at Rune told him that she was in deep. Unsure what to say that isn't going to make things even worse already he snapped his mouth shut and took a few hundred calming breaths. Nope, still wanted to kill the dude.* No danger huh? I find that difficult to believe. But whatever, it's your funeral, and his, if something does happen. *he looks atRune* Dude. Listen. I apologize for bein' such a dick. That hand your holding *he nods in her direction* it belongs to the most important person in the world to me. I'd appreciate it if you would take some extra special care of her while she is with you.   Rune Breed *He looked at Carys then back to her brother, not offended that Arichad no clue about him. He was oddly relieved. Deciding that this conversation was going as far as he was going to let it go though, he nodded.* Duly noted. The decision is always hers. *He took a step back, giving the daywalker extra room. He had no desire to hurt her family and wouldn't unless they put her in harms way but they did not need to know that little piece of information.*

  Carys Chase * Carys smiled at both of them and moved away from Rune to hug her brother tight.* Thank you, Aric..for that. I promise I am safe with him. * She kissed her brother's cheek and went back to Rune, taking his hand as he held it out to her. Her smile widened as she looked back at Aric. * I'll see you later at home, Okay? * When he nodded she turned back to Rune and the kiosk. As they walked away she looked back once and gave her twin a reassuring smile. She knew he meant well, he was after all her protective big brother and she could see his side of it. One day though, everyone would know about her feelings for the Cage Fighter and his for her. One day everyone would see what she saw and so much more. But, for now she was happy with what they had. And isn't that how some love stories began..a little mytery and a lot of heart? Yes, one day everyone would

* Carys pulled in behind the building Rune lived in and parked. There weren't many cars in the lot during the day but, the nights when there were fights down in the cages the place was packed. She looked up at the warehouse through the windshield and sighed. Rune was angry, frustrated when they talked and she could understand why. Everything she did at the compound was monitored, even her calls. She knew the why of it but, it didn't help when it came to the cage fighter she loved. Getting out of her car, she straightened her clothes and slung her purse over her shoulder. She grabbed the bag containing her lunch, Thai noodles with chicken. He might be sleeping or working out, so she brought her lunch with her. Bottle of water in her bag, she locked the car and headed inside and down to the basement where her lover lived.*

  Rune Breed *He carried the bag he had purchased like a prized belt that the humans sported at their events. He was still stumped as why they had not thought of this before. Already, he was picturing the images of his female that no one else would know about but him. He picked up speed as he neared his quarters, detecting her heartbeat in his room.* Fucking A, this was perfect!

  Carys Chase *She was eating, curled up in the overstuffed chair by his bed when Rune walked in. She smiled around a fork full of noodles and held up a hand. She chewed quickly and set her meal on the table beside the chair. In a flash she was in his arms, a place she dearly loved to be. Surrounded by his arms and his scent gave her peace. She kissed his chin, her eyes alight with love as she looked up at him.* Where have you been babe? I was almost worried.

  Rune Breed *He caught her in his arms, cupping her ass and holding her close. Growling low at the tease of a kiss, he captured her lips with his, nipping the bottom one then running his tongue over the mark. He pulled back before he got too distracted though and grinned down at her.* Hmm, I blew off some steam in the ring for a bit then did a little shopping. Now, I will know everything about you with this device. You will always be within my reach.

  Carys Chase Within your reach? *She looked confused and stepped back. Rune held the bag out to her and she tilted her head as she looked at it.* What have you done? * Taking the bag from him she reached inside and pulled out a new cell phone. Her jaw clenched as she looked at it and she took a breath before she looked at him.* You bought me a phone? So you'd know where I was at all times? What I was doing? Is there GPS on it? * She shoved the phone and the bag at him.* Dammit! You do not control what I do! *Her vision blurred with angry tears as she turned to grab her purse.* I don't want it! Fuck..I have to go before I say something I can't take back! * Angry, tears streaming down her cheeks she rushed past him and out the door.*

  Rune Breed *Stunned, he stepped back not understanding the ball of furious female in front of him. His scowled as he started listening to what she was saying. She was bat shit crazy if she thought he wanted to control her, he only wanted to get her out from under the Order's watch and be able to claim her. Hell, she was hiding him. He blinked and realized she was out the door. Damn female breed.* Carys, where the hell are you going? *The empty hallway was a physical blow.*

  Carys Chase *Running in heels was hard enough. Running in heels while crying almost impossible. Carys made it to the stairs and pulled her keys from her purse only to drop them. She heard Rune yell her name but she kept going. She was up the stairs and bursting through the door into te sunlight before she realized it. Now, standing in front of her car, she sobbed. Taking big gulps of air as she let it out. It hurt so much to walk away from him, hell she ran from him and out into the sunlight where he couldn't reach her. Three steps and she was leaning against the side of her car trying to compose herself.* Stupid male, Breeds are all alike, trying to control every damn thing, everyone in their lives..

  Rune Breed *He used every ability available to him to reach her. He didn't deserve her but he sure as hell would not give her up like this, over a fucking phone. He blasted through the door, growling and glinting as the sun hit his exposed skin. He had one purpose. To reach Carys before she could leave him. He yelled her name again, the sound gravelly as the sun already worked its damage on him. She looked up and the tears in her eyes were his undoing. He raced to her, scooping her up in his arms and heading back inside to safety where he sank down against the wall, cuddling her in his lap. His voice sounded strange to his own ears as he talked.* Baby, it was never about control but only, and I mean only, another way to be with you.

  Carys Chase *She clung to him, trying not to hurt his singed skin.* Rune..Baby I am so, so sorry. * She kissed his lips and he hissed but kissed her back.* I-I overreacted and I'm sorry, I love you and want nothing more than to be with you. * She sniffled and wiped at her eyes hurriedly and hugged him again.* Please don't ever put yourself in danger like that again. Please..* She placed soft kisses all over his face as new tears formed in her eyes.*

  Rune Breed *He cupped her face in his hands and brushed a gentle kiss over her lips before picking her up and heading to his quarters. He would explain in detail that he only wanted to stay in touch, so she could reach him at any point, say anything he wanted to her, without feeling like she was afraid. Control had no room in this relationship. He collapsed on the bed, holding her to his side. He needed sleep and blood but sleep would do for now. Before he drifted off, he tilted her face to his and looked deep into her blues and whispered.* You own me, baby. I would die for you.

  
  
• Carys Chase * She kissed him softly, her lips lingering against his as she smiled.* You have my very heart Rune. If anything happened to you it would shatter into a million pieces that could never be put back together. I don't want to fight anymore..* She kissed him again and settled in his arms, her head on his chest. She listened to his heart beating and knew it was for her.*
