{Ashes to Mathias} Debriefing

*Sitting on Tegan's office, waiting for him to arrive would never be a relaxing experience. Mira and Eli exchanged a few words, but otherwise remained silent. They had been summoned there for a debriefing session after Mathias' rescue mission. The clock continued to tick away as they waited stoically for the Elder's arrival.*
  • Mira Nicholas-Archer Well this isn't ominous at all. *Sighing, I fish a red gummy bear out of my bag and bite it's head off. As I chew the head and then pop the entire body in my mouth, I think about what could possibly be taking so long*

  • Tegan GenOne *Returning from his meeting with Aric, he strolled in hurriedly and situated himself at this desk. Booting his laptop up from sleep, he logged into the Order database. The notes he took on tonight's meeting would later need to be accessed by the Lucan and Gideon* Apologies for being late. Another meeting held me up

  • Elijah Breed No apologies needed, Sir. *Looking at Mira * We are ready to start.

  • Mira Nicholas-Archer No problem, as long as we're not in here to get our asses chewed out I'm good. *Sitting up straight, I pop the last gummy bear in my mouth and shove toss the empty bag across the room and into the trash can by the door*

  • Tegan GenOne *Taking a deep breath, he arched his brow at the two of them.* You were both involved in the rescuing of Mathias, to varying degrees. I wanted to get a debriefing from you both on your participation

  • Mira Nicholas-Archer *I look over at Eli who looks as though he is formulating a response in his head.* I guess I'll go first, so we can keep things chronological. *clearing throat almost too delicately, I link my fingers together and rest them on my lap* While I didn't exactly like Rio's plan to use me as bait, it did work. It was almost too easy to blow them up. *shifting in my seat* From there it was pretty uneventful until I found Mathias in his UV cell. You know the rest.

  • Elijah Breed Sir, after the recon team reported to base stating they had visual contact with the target, the Commander deployed the strike team to the scene. This team consisted of four operatives, outfitted with UV suits. When we arrived, the recon team had disabled the building's main power source. Shortly after we entered, we engaged eight opponents armed with liquid UV ammo. The recon team disabled the UV cell that contained the target. After neutralizing our opponents, we reached the target and moved him to our vehicle. A donor was inside the vehicle to take care of the target's feeding needs. After that, all units returned to base.

  • Tegan GenOne *He nodded, taking notes and adding as many details as he could personally remember. With the world moving in a technological direction, it was imperative that the Order kept detailed consistent notes for future reference. It had actually been a suggestion of Dare's* And did everything run as smoothly as you intended?

  • Elijah Breed *Eli gave careful consideration to what his next words would be. After all, he was talking to an Elder. Someone who had been involved in the planning of this mission from the beginning. Nevertheless, he strongly felt he needed to voice his concerns* Sir, the fact that our opponents had liquid UV ammo and we didn't could have seriously affect the result of our mission. Luckily for us, they were not fully trained on hand to hand combat, or our mission could have been seriously derailed.

  • Mira Nicholas-Archer *Nodding my head slowly* The liquid UV was definitely something I hadn't anticipated. It's obvious that we really need to up our game in regards to protection and ammo. Especially for all of the breeds. *My thoughts travel to how horribly the night could have gone if the guards were better at hand to hand* And while I wont burst into flames if hits me, it could have other effects. We need to know more.

  • Tegan GenOne During the mission, I was able to pick up a few of their weapons. I have handed them over to Niko and Gideon for testing. I'd like to see how we can better defend ourselves

  • Elijah Breed Sir; if I may add a recommendation, I strongly believe we need to ascertain how did our enemies get their hands on this type of technology, who's supplying them the intel to do this. Whoever is working with them on this needs to be identified and stopped. If I can help in this endeavor I'm at your disposition.

  • Mira Nicholas-Archer That's good, the grenade they created was pretty damn useful. *listening to Eli speculate on possible suppliers* It's definitely not Dia's creation... if you want my opinion, the UV supplier is most likely an Atlantean. *Tegan nods, leaning back in his chair and regarding us silently.* I think that's our cue, cowboy. *Getting up out of the chair I swat Eli on the back of the shoulder and lead us both out of Tegan's office*
