*he tossed the bag into the microwave and hit start before pouring the milk into the pan to start the hot chocolate for Mira . He was looking forward to spending their night off curled up with his mate. He chuckled as she continued to call out movies for them to watch * whatever you want babe, just as long as it's NOT Harry Potter again! You quoted the whole series last time.

Mira Nicholas-Archer And that's a problem? *I giggle as I get settled onto the couch* Let's watch Elf *I call out to him, not expecting him to dispute my choice* Is that non-Harry Potter enough for you? *I pull the blanket over my legs as Kellan walks in with a bowl of popcorn and a mug of hot chocolate* Did you remember to mix the gummy bears into the popcorn?

Kellan Archer *he rolls his eyes as he joins her on the couch, handing her the treats* of course I did! Elf sounds perfect for tonight babe. *while he got comfortable she hit play. They laughed and made fun of the previews that were now years old. He watched with a grin as she took a sip of her cocoa* uuhhh babe. You got a little marshmallow on your nose there.

Mira Nicholas-Archer Hot chocolate hazard. *Wiping the melted marshmallow off the top of my nose and licking it off my finger* Still good. *grinning I snuggle closer to him, careful not to spill my still steamy hot chocolate all over our laps* I love this part.

Kellan Archer *they laugh at the sight of Buddy with his legs hanging over the end of the bed* I don't think they could have found a better actor for this movie. This guy is such a damn goof I don't know how he manages to stay alive! I mean, look at that crap he is eating? He must have gained 30 pounds just making this movie! *he shuddered at the thought of all that sugar*

Mira Nicholas-Archer Yeah, Will Ferrell is perfect for this role. *taking a sip of my hot chocolate* You do realize that that is almost exactly what Rennie wanted for dinner the other day. *grabbing a handful of popcorn and popping a few of the kernels into my mouth* He's just missing the pickles and nutella! *popping the remaining kernels into my mouth*

Kellan Archer *he gags at the thought* I swear, that kid is going to come out looking like a damn pickle! *he groans as Will, or Buddy, pushes all the buttons on the elevator* If I were that person I would kill him right there, I swear. Who DOES THAT?!

Mira Nicholas-Archer *Laughing* He is. Or with a severe dependency on vinegar and sugar. *I take another sip from my mug* It definitely would be a great April Fools Day joke. Almost makes me wish we had elevators in the compound. *grabbing another handful from the bowl and popping the mix into my mouth*

Kellan Archer *he chuckles and wipes the chocolate mustache off her upper lip* yeah it would. Could you imagine Lucan being caught in that elevator with Buddy? I would pay to see that! Aaawww look, Buddy has a girlfriend! Isn't that cute? *he fakes gagging again*

Mira Nicholas-Archer *laughing* That would be amazing to see! *elbowing Kellan* Hey, don't be a cotton headed ninny muggins! *grabbing another handful of popcorn, I rest my head on Kellan's shoulder as I eat more of the popcorn*

Kellan Archer You've been saving that up, huh? *he laughs as he pulls her closer, snuggling against her under the blanket. He tugs on the edge, trying to cover himself* Hey, *he pokes her in the side* you need to share the blanket you know! It's cold in here. Oh oh, here come the big bad Central Park police. Pppuuulllleeeeaaassssreeee, I could take them all with one hand tied behind my back. They're a bunch of pansies.

Mira Nicholas-Archer I have been DYING to say it all night! *laughing, I finish off my hot chocolate and place my mug on the side table as Kellan slid the blanket toward him* I'll always share with you, but don't take all of it! *with Kellan now under the blanket, I could snuggle more comfortably against my mate as we finish up the movie* How about another? You get to pick this time... *I hand Kellan the remote and let him flip through the movies that Gid loaded into our entertainment system. With a movie selected, we spend the rest of the night cuddled together, commentary included. *

*I placed the cookies on the tray then poured the last two cups of cocoa, making sure to add the whipped cream to Renata's. I picked up the tray and headed to the living room and was glad everyone was there. Smiling I walked in ready to place the tray by Renata as she asked.* Please tell me you remembered the whipped cream?

Renata Breed ~giggling I moan as I sip the hot cocoa~ Savy you make the bestest cocoa in the world...~giggling again I sit back and nibble on a cookie as I rest the cup on my large tummy~ so the tree is trimmed, most of the package wrapped, is there anything left that we might have to do before Christmas?

Mira Nicholas-Archer *taking one of the mugs and wrapping my hands around its warmth* I haven't bought any Christmas presents yet. *taking a sip* Lucan's been keeping us busy. *grabbing a star cookie and biting off one of the points*

Elise Chase *Taking her cup, she took a slow sip of the hot yummy goodness that was Savannah's cocoa and settled deeper into the chaise.* can't believe how many Christmases we've been together now. I'm no where near done as I usually am. And I truly can't blame Lucan for me not being ready.

Savannah Dupree *I took a seat by the fire, a cookie in one hand, my mug in the other.* I'm not ready either. With so many charities to give too I haven't had time to shop for family. *I looked at the ladies and smiled.* Yes we have been together for a long time.

Renata Breed ~chuckling again I smile wide~ a very long time, I feel like sometimes I can't remember a time when you were not my sisters. So Elise what is your favorite memory of one of our past Christmas'? For many of them revolve around Mira and Niko ~smiling softly thinking about my mate~

Mira Nicholas-Archer I don't know about you guys, but I will never forget when I was babysitting the boys and they decided that it would be a fabulous idea to go pee in the snow. *laughing as I take a sip* That was unfortunately when I found out that breeds peed red. Elise Chase *Laughing at Mira, she took a cookie thinking back to some of her favorite Christmas memories. The best ones always seemed to include Micah. Which reminded her of one particular incident.* Do you guys remember the time when the kids all gave their dads early surprise prank gifts? I thought Lucan was going to pull his hair out if he found one more cricket in his office. And Tegan's files all paperclipped together. You know how much he detests paperwork anyway. Then Gid's room smelled like sulfur for weeks. But my favorite was T and Micah getting matching snowmobiles.

Savannah Dupree *All the memories fun ones and I laughed as they told them.* I'm just glad we don't have to clean up after them anymore. I hated to see my clean kitchen after one of their pranks.

Renata Breed ~snorts~ I remember one that was pulled on Niko, and Mira spear headed it..~gives her a mock glare~ Kellan, Mira, and Nathan all decided to help Niko with loading of some bullets, they forgot to put the powder in some and the firing cap in others, and not to mention that Niko had kept finding tray bullets everywhere in the range. I think he made them clean all the guns for the whole order for two weeks...~chuckling as I nibble on another cookie~

Mira Nicholas-Archer Oh man, I remember that. *laughing* Dad was so pissed off. *taking another bite of my cookie and sip of my cocoa* Do you guys remember when Gideon filled in for Lucan as Santa? And he spoke to all of us like Yoda?

Elise Chase *Shaking her head, she couldn't stop laughing at all the memories.* Even through the dark years, we rallied around for Christmas. It's always amazed me. But at the heart of it all was Savannah's cooking and treats. Wouldn't be the same without it. *She smiled at Savvy as she collected the cups and headed toward the kitchen.* I think it might be time to go find my mate. What do you ladies think?

Renata Breed ~giggling I shake my head~ we have had many great years together and I have loved every minute of them and I pray for many more...~handing over my cup to Savvy I move to the edge of my chair and hoist myself up, hugging each of the girls I slowly move towards the stairs, my lower back hurting I plan what final gifts I need to get~

Niko, Renata, Mira, and Kellan Decorate (#Christmas16 Day 4)

*squeezing Kellan's hand as we walk down the hall toward gigantically fantastic Christmas tree that Niko and Kellan set up last month* It's about time our schedules cleared up, I've been waiting to decorate this tree for what feels like a lifetime. *turning the corner, I spot both of my parents waiting for us...my dad looking increasingly impatient at our tardiness and my mom nomming on chocolate covered pickles.* Really, Rennie?!

Kellan Archer *he chuckles at her comment to Renata* Not helping babe. *he squeezes her hand quickly before hugging Renata and shaking hands with Niko* Good evening. I see you've been busy gathering everything. *he looks at the mountain of boxes stacked in a far corner*

Niko Breed *He raises one eye brow at the question,* Do you not know we're dealing with son? My girls don't half ass something. They give it their all, and they don't cheat either. Like say using a chain saw to cut a tree down. *Renata shushes me to be quiet.*

Renata Breed ~winking at Mira over the pickle I place my hand on Niko's arm when he talks down to Kellan~ baby...actually Kellan this is only the decorations for the tree, the rest of the house has it's own boxes and they will be coming up in the next few days ~smiling wide at the frown on his face~ oh it will be fun, since you are off patrol for the next week on vaca you, me and Mira will have tons of fun decorating the whole house ~waving my hand towards the entry way and beyond, i move towards the first box and start to open them~ come on family lets get started...

Mira Nicholas-Archer *Giggling at the look on Kellan's face* Yeah, I may have neglected to tell you that tiny little detail. *leaning up to whisper into his ear* Don't worry, I'll make it worth your while... *wrapping my arm around his and pulling him toward the giant spool of christmas ribbon* Let's start with this.

Kellan Archer *he pinched her butt as she dragged him into complete chaos. He groaned as she grabbed the ribbon and rubbed his hands over his face* Yes Dear. *he smiled and followed her*

Niko Breed *Each one of them grabs a box except Rennie. He wont let her lift anything heavy. He tells her she is to direct them. Tell them where she wants things to be placed. He's about to agree with Kellan that there's a little too much. Maybe the boy has a point, but he wasn't going to let him know that. He sees the way he looks at Mouse and it warms his heart to know that he has her back. His mouse deserves to be loved like that. He turns to Rennie*OK baby what else would you like? Kellan can you put up the lighted garland along the doorways?

Renata Breed ~smiling I turn on the christmas music and wiggle as I point to where I want each ball and garland, I pick up one of the first ornaments that Mira had made, I wipe away a happy tear before anyone can see me~ Mouse hang this one to the right of the Santa...~turning I see Kellan stretching to place one of the mini trees over the window~ that looks perfect Kell

Mira Nicholas-Archer *Smiling as I take the hand print ornament and place it carefully on the tree* I hope you guys are going to make another one for my baby brother. *pulling the next ornament out of the box, a gummy bear, and placing it on the tree* You know what ornament we need to get for him? *laughing* A pickle.

Kellan Archer *he chuckled as he finished placing the decorations around the main room as directed. Mira and Niko had the tree just about done, at least in his opinion it looked done* anything else? *he asked as he looked at the pipes of empty boxes everywhere*

Niko Breed *Slapping Kellan on the back he stands back to take in everything. My woman knew how to decorate.* Job well done son. Just think you have this to look forward to every year. *He laughs as he hears him mumble under his breath.* Great job everyone. It all looks awesome.

Renata Breed ~fighting back a yawn I smile wide at everyone, so happy that we could do this all as a family, moving towards Niko I lean against him~ perfect baby, this just gets better every year, just think our little one will be with us next year...~smiling up at him I lean up and kiss him softly~ thank you my Mouse and Kell, its is perfect ~giggling as Niko sweeps me off my feet and moves towards the door~ just think tomorrow we can do the entry way and then move on to the dinning room...

Mira and Rafe Work Out

*Pushing the door to the training center open and throwing my bag to the nearest bench. With it being my night off and with Kellan on patrol, I wanted to get a little work out done before my mate returned for the day. As I walk to the nearest treadmill, I noticed Rafe lifting weights across the gym* I know you can lift more than that, Rafe!

Rafe Malebranche *I grinned, not bothering to put the weights down, as I wanted to finish up the last few reps of chest presses* You'd better believe I can lift more than this, but I'm not looking to bulk up at the moment. Today's all about the reps and keeping what I got. *I chuckled as I put the weights away* Tonight your night off too eh?

Mira Nicholas-Archer *Sighing, I get on the treadmill and press start.* Yeah, Kellan's out with my dad...*giving Rafe a knowing look as I increase the speed* I know...I think Lucan lost a bit of his mind when he made tonight's schedule.

Rafe Malebranche *I chuckled as I got onto the treadmill next to Mira and got it going. A run would do me good too* Yeah. It's gotta be an age thing. The older we Breed get, the more of our minds we lose. *I warmed up quickly and got up to a fast jog* Honestly, I'm getting a bit sick of staying home. I could use a good fight out on the streets.

Mira Nicholas-Archer *Laughing as my speed increased* You that hungry to hunt rogues? Is Nathan being greedy when you guys go out on patrol? Do I need to kick him around a bit?

Rafe Malebranche *I laughed as I sped up too* Nah.... It's all good. Nathan's a good Breed to have out there on Patrol. It just seems like whenever we're out on the streets, the Rogues just disappear on us. It's almost like they know we're coming. Ya know?

Mira Nicholas-Archer *shrugging the best I could as I ran.* Or maybe you're just on the wrong team. *laughing, I hit the slow down button and hopped off the treadmill and wiped the sweat off my face* You want to hit some bags with me?

Rafe Malebranche *I laughed as I finished up my run* You know I've got the bet team out there. The rogues can sense that we're comin and just run away. *Grabbing a towel, I wiped the treadmill down and my own face and grinned* Sure. That sounds great.

Mira Nicholas-Archer *Sliding my purple gloves on, I pick a bag and begin my stance* We never seem to have problems catching rogues in the act...you just need to know where to look. *Punching the bag as I hop on the balls on my feet*

Rafe Malebranche *Getting on a pair of gloves, and picked a bag close to Mira, bouncing on the balls of my feet a few times to loosen up before throwing a few punches* There's that too. Guess we've just picked the wrong parts of town. I should talk to the team, see if we need to concentrate on the seedier parts of town.

Mira Nicholas-Archer *Chuckling, I pause* That might help...the seedier side is always a lot more fun. *winking, I start back up on the bag* They like to feed on the women walking alone on the street...which pisses me off. *emphasizing the last word with a harder punch.*

Rafe Malebranche *I nodded and growled as I punched the bag hard enough to send it swinging into a wide arc* Yeah...... Rogues need to learn to fuck the hell off. No one, especially not a woman should worry about walking anywhere. *I took a deep breath and gave one final punch, and nearly split the bag open.* The Rogues gotta learn to stay the fuck down.

Mira Nicholas-Archer Bit of pent up anger there, Rafe? * Chuckling, I settle the bag and wipe my brow and grab my water* You are a lot like your father sometimes. *taking a drink* It's a little creepy

Rafe Malebranche Yeah, just a bit. *I took a deep and took the gloves off.* I know I can be like Dad. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Anyway, I should head back. I need to shower and go talk to Mom about something. Thanks for the workout

Mira Nicholas-Archer ~memory~ *Turning my head quickly, as if I was caught doing something I shouldn't be* Oh, hi Rennie. Um... *looking back at the cute instructor and smiling slightly* yeah, I am.

Renata Breed ~chuckling I move forward tapping Mira on the shoulder as I set my board on the sand, the instructor straightens then smile as he flushes at being caught I shake my head~ okay bra, let learn how to shoot the curl...~bites back a snort as he gives me a look like I should try and talk surfer~ isn't that what we are doing?

Mira Nicholas-Archer *blinks* Um, mom? *turning thirty different shades of red at Rennie's lame attempt at talking like a surfer...I look back toward the instructor and wish he would just ignore that ever happened.* Can we just start, please? *whispering under my breath* Before I die of embarrassment.

Renata Breed ~laughing I i shake my head~ yeah lets do this ~moving to lay on the board as instructed then to jump up and balance with one leg forward, I chuckle as i fall on the first try, the instructor does a more in hands approach with Mira~ Mouse...~doing the move again and again until I can stand without wavering~ so far this is kinda fun...when can we hit the waves?

Mira Nicholas-Archer *paddling forward, just like the instructor showed me, a little more hands on than my mom or especially my dad would like. I paddled forward a little more, to catch the wave that was coming up from behind us.* watch this! *as the wave started to dome, I pulled my feet from under me and stood on the board to ride it the rest of the way* I'm doing it!! *Even slightly shaky and on the brink of face planting in the ocean, it was still a rush.*

Renata Breed ~clapping as Mira takes the wave like she has been doing it forever, smiling wide I move to paddle into the incoming wave, shaking a little, I should so not be nervous, fucking I have taken on full blown savage Rouges, I should be able to do this, letting the wave go I move to take the next one, taking a deep breath I move the nose of the board into the water then move to stand, popping up I hold my breath as I ride a few feet of the wave, I know that these are small waves but you have to practice first right?~

Mira Nicholas-Archer *giggling* This is so fun! *My run was short lived when my elation out ran my actual ability to stay on the board and I fall into the water. *

Renata Breed ~hearing a splash I look to my right and laugh before I hit the water, coming sputtering water I feel the laughter of my mate, I glare back towards shore before I pull myself back on the board and paddle back out to sea, I will master this....~

Mira Nicholas-Archer *Coming up for air, I grab the edge of my board and let it float me a bit while I watch Rennie try again. The sun had finally dipped below the horizon and Niko was standing at the bungalow laughing at our attempts* Dad's out from his hiding spot *I laughed as I shouted toward Rennie*

Renata Breed ~hearing Mira I smile and drop to my knees then sit, the waves laying flat in front of me as I float over to Mira~ yeah I can feel his laughter...just wait till I get him on the water ~glaring towards the beach~ ready to go in? ~my tummy rumbles telling me I need to eat, I smile wider when I notice Mira hearing my stomach~ what I didn't each lunch today...~turning my board out to the water one more time~ another wave before we head back in?

Mira Nicholas-Archer *looking toward the shore then back to the open water and then back to her with a grin* Absolutely! *we paddle one more time toward the coming wave* Are you ready? *we climb up on our board an ride the wave down together, laughing* That was so much fun! *I look once more toward the shore, at Niko laughing and clapping at our success* Let's go attack dad!

Renata Breed ~laughing I nod as I lift my board from the water, running the last few feet in the surf I drop the board knowing that the instructor will put them away as he brought them with him, smiling wide I link arms with Mira and run back towards the bungalow, love for my daughter and mate move through me, stopping a few yards short I smile and nod at Mira, whispering~ you hit him low I hit him high ~she nods and we both giggle rushing forward, he is expecting us and catches us both a few feet before we would have taken him down, shaking my head spraying us all with water our laughter fills the air~ love you my mate...my daughter...
