Compound: Archiving History

Jenna: *I sat at the table, pen in hand, a new journal open and ready to be filled. Surrounding me were artifacts of all shapes and sizes. Lucan had opened the hidden archives. He wanted every item cataloged and labeled. Dare was unwrapping the last of the items carefully* Dare, I've got this group here all done, if you want to take them over to the other table for their pictures. Do you need my help or shall I just continue on?

Dare Thorne *grinning at her* I'm Breed, remember? I think I've got this. *Scooping up the items she had finished, I carried them gently to the other table. A glimmer of light caught my eye from the artifacts on the far side of the table. Turning, I stared transfixed, as the items one after the other began to glow. Softly at first, then brighter as the minutes passed.* Umm... Jenna, can you come here for a minute?
Jenna Darrow *I was just finishing up with another when I heard Dare. The hesitation in his voice caused me to snap to attention.*Dare? *I turned to him*
Dare Thorne I think you really want to come and see this. *Turning back to the table, the glow seems to be spreading to the other objects. Going around behind the table, and looking under it, I see nothing that could be causing this.* I'm stumped. You have to see this.

Jenna Darrow *I carefully place the artifact on the table and rise, making my way over to the table. His back is to me so I can't see his face but something in his tone causes the hair on my neck to stand on end* What is it? What happened? *I come to a stop beside him, gaping in awe as the artifact seems to pulse with light.*What is making it do that?
Dare Thorne I honestly don't know! But now they're all doing it. I've looked around, and there's nothing out of the ordinary in this room or on this table. They weren't doing it before. It's creepy, isn't it? Wait a second - tonight's the Blood Moon. You don't suppose....?
Jenna Darrow The blood moon? But why? *I shake my head and laugh* I should know better than to expect normal. It's been more than 20 years and I'm still amazed at how naive us humans are to what is going on in this world. *As multiple artifacts continue to pulse an idea comes over me* we need to record which ones are reacting, quick, before they stop. Maybe we should move all the glowing ones over there *I point to an unused table in another corner of the room* It will mess up our order but I think we need to. This could be significant.
Dare Thorne *Nodding, I begin to gingerly gather up the glowing artifacts and move them to the other corner using my Breed speed. Whipping out my cell phone, I take a quick video since they are still pulsating with the eerie glow.* Well, they're still glowing. I took a short video just in case Gideon isn't seeing this on the surveillance cams. I think we need to get the hell out of here and report this to Dad or Tegan. We don't know what's causing it, and don't know what effect, if any it can have on either of us. *Helping Jenna gather her notes and her latest journal, we swiftly leave the room, locking the door behind us. The strange red glow seeps under the door as I look over my shoulder as we head down the hall.*
