Status: Visiting Mom

*Pulling the car to a stop, I shut off the engine and open the door. Slamming it behind me as I pull my coat tighter around me. Walking around the house into the back garden, I make my way through the thick hills of snow. Stopping in front of my angel, I dust off the snow with my gloved hands. Smiling down at the statue that guards my momma's grave. Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath, letting it out slowly. Pulling out my phone, I pull up a song that I had bought from iTunes. Pressing play, I set my phone onto one of the angel's hands and kneel down in the snow and sing along. Wiping the tears as the overfill my eyes*

Aine Declain *By the time the song ends, I had laid down at the angel's feet. Sobs shaking my whole body as the cold numbs my skin* Momma I can do this without Daddy. Please momma. Please bring him back to me. *Hearing the snow crunch beside me, I open my eyes as two strong arms reach down and lift me from the snow. Burying my face against the hard chest, I let my tears flow. Finally the wind stops whipping around us and I lift my head to see where we are. Seeing nothing but dark, I look up into the man's face. Frowning that I'm unable to see who it is. He bends down and sets me on what must be a couch. Pulling a blanket off the back, he wraps it around my shoulders, then stands and moves away. Never saying a word.*
