{Lessons} Satora Fighting with Meison

Satora Razza  ~The holidays were over, but the Dome was still bustling with shoppers but the crowds were irritating to me. I needed an escape so I grabbed my sword and headed out to my favorite spot. Working my muscles, I stretched before picking the weapon back up, taking my time to become focused on what I wanted to do.~

Meison Declain *Leaving the vehicle, I thanked the driver as I approached the main entrances to the Dome. Nodding a greeting towards the security staff, I made my way past the busy crowds towards the offices in the back*

Satora Razza ~I cleared my mind, letting the sounds of the area fade away and concentrated on the weight of the sword in my hand. Swinging it through the air, the whistle of air was a calming balm to me. I went through several of the steps Meison had previously showed me, noticing how much more control of the weapon I had. The male was full of surprises.~

Meison Declain *As I bypassed a few more rooms, something caught the periphery of my eye. Backtracking, I watched through the glass as Satora went through the movements. Nodding in approval, I couldn't help grinning. Perhaps she would see me more than a Stuffed Shirt Stick Up the Ass*

Satora Razza ~Pointing the sword at my makeshift target, I growled when I missed my mark. What the fuck? What was I doing wrong now. I took a step back and evaluated what I had done then repeated it, still missing my intended mark. Closing my eyes, I went through the motions mentally. I would figure this out.~

Meison Declain *He stayed silent, a few more minutes, leaving her uninterrupted. Knocking on the glass, he quirked a brow in question* May I?

Satora Razza ~Hearing the tap on the glass easily with my Breed abilities, I turned around and looked him in the eye. I paused at his question, already knowing my answer but deciding to let him wait. My eyes scaled his body in his suit before slowly nodding.~

Meison Declain Forgive me for interrupting. I was intrigued by how much you've improved. How are you today? *Removing my coat, I placed it in the closet conveniently provided*

Satora Razza ~I shrugged and watched his movements, almost entranced with him. Shaking my head I deliberately turned my attention to the sword.~ No forgiveness necessary. I appreciate the direction you gave me before, it was...needed. I am fine but done with the human crowds.

Meison Declain And yet you don't mind my company? *Arching my brow, I removed my cufflinks and then my dress shirt* I hope you don't mind. I do have a meeting after this little showdown

Satora Razza ~Flashing him a rare grin~ Ah, true but you have something I want so I do believe I can put up with you a little longer. ~winks~ I appreciate the male form.

Meison Declain *Grinning, I grabbed a sword and bowed* Ready? *Not waiting for a response, I twirled the blade and advanced towards her, striking and blocking as we paced around the room. She was a quick study...a far improvement from our last few sessions*

Satora Razza ~Parrying every thrust he made, I paid attention to his stance, the way he held the long blade and his face. I wanted to learn this technique from him but I needed to know more about him.~ Where did you learn to sword fight?

Meison Declain Several years ago *More like centuries, but I kept that tidbit to myself* I grew up with a blade in one hand, and my life in the other. Needless to say, skill was a matter of life and death

Satora Razza ~I blinked, not sure what to think of that answer.~ Are you not bored, teaching me?

Meison Declain *I had surprised her with my response, if the widening of her eyes was any indication. Good. In due time, I would reveal more and perplex them even further* Of course not. I don't do anything I don't want to. Besides, I can brush up on mine

Satora Razza ~Nods~ I do have to admit you are a worthy opponent, for the moment. ~Feeling eyes on me, I turned and looked back toward the offices and saw Dia staring at us with a scowl on his face. I turned away from him and stared at Meison. I don't imagine you do.

Dia Rivera *Already in a bad mood, I growled as I spotted my two partners playing cozy. What the fuck did Meison think he was doing? While I had my differences with him, I didn't want Satora killing him either* What do you two think you're doing? *Glancing down at my watch* Meison the meeting will be beginning shortly

Meison Declain *Breaking away, I studiously ignored Dia's tantrum as I set about putting my clothes back on. It had been a lovely session, and I wasn't about to lose the euphoric effect* I'll be up soon. Hold my place, yes?

Satora Razza ~Ignoring the impatient manner of my partner, I once again studied the male before me.~ Thank you again for your time. It was, as always, enlightening.

Dia Rivera *Shoving Meison's tie at him, I stomped out furiously. It was a shame they were both brilliant at their jobs. Their attitudes left much to be desired. However, an idea occurred to me. The closer Satora got to Meison, the more information she could flush out of him. I grinned wickedly at the thought*

{Lessons} Satora

Satora Razza  ~Another floor of apartments had opened up and I was reviewing the waiting list. Our screening requirements for living there were strict but it was necessary to prevent people we did not want. An old contact of Dia's from the Agency had contacted us about an opening or Mathias would not be living there. The contact had paid dearly for his subterfuge. My mind drifted back to my last sword session, remembering some of the moves and tips Meison had shown me. His offer of help was a mild shock and I wondered what his motives were. Regardless, I would take the information and anything else I could find out on our new partners.~

{Lessons} Meison starts to Teach Satora

Meison Declain  *I had been sitting in my office for hours, speaking to various officials and trying to get The Dome to bypass more regulations. Dia handled the physical aspects of the business, and I dealt with the technical behind the scenes issues. With the phone pressed against my ear, I rose to stretch my feet, wandering to the verandah that overlooked The Dome. Narrowing my eyes as I noticed Satora going through several sword motions*

Top of Form
Satora Razza ~I stepped forward into the center of the hidden outside glade, clearing my mind as I held the sword up and began my warmup routine. I was used to the weight of the weapon but I still had not mastered control of it or precision. Sighing, I swung at the tree in front of me frustrated when the blow was lower than where I was aiming. I would get this, if I had to practice every free hour.~

Meison Declain *Pressing my face closer against the one way glass, I studied her movements, making note of her techniques. She was a fast learner, her steps and hand movements reasonably steady. Yet, there was a disjoint - Less fluidity that came with consciously thinking over every motion* No, that would never do *I murmured distractedly into the phone. The agitated voice on the other end let me know I had voiced my thoughts aloud* No, that was a musing of mine. Continue...

Satora Razza ~I took another step back and used my Breed speed to instantly appear in front of the tree and stab it then muttered.~ There's more than one way to kill something. ~Breathing in deep, I scanned the area certain I was still alone and took my formal stance again as I eyed the tree with disdain.~

Meison Declain *Wrapping up my phone call, I cleared my desk, securing my files in the privacy of my safe. There was no need to tempt Dia with my sources. For all I knew, the distraction below could have been a ploy. Shaking my head at the paranoia that came with working with a volatile Breed, I made my way outside for some chat time with the lovely and lethal Satora*

Satora Razza ~Going through the motions again, I worked my muscles until the sword felt like an extension of my arm. Now, the commands needed to come automatically and precisely. Growling as I missed another mark, I mentally went through my moves critically reviewing what I was missing.~

Meison Declain *Arriving at the clearing, I grabbed one of the extra swords and palmed the blade. I nodded in greeting to Satora, ignoring the irritated expression on her face. Testing the balance of the sword, I smiled as old memories flooded back to me. Times much different than these - Dangerous times, but with special moments nonetheless*

Satora Razza ~I turned to my unexpected company and wondered why I had not heard his arrival. I tensed at how involved in my training I had been, then nodded at him briskly~ Do you know how to use that weapon, Mr. Declain?

Meison Declain Yes, I'm somewhat familiar with them. I noticed you were having some trouble. May I be of assistance?

Satora Razza ~I gave him a sardonic smile.~ How would you have noticed that? Have you been watching me? ~Deciding not to start a confrontation~ Nevermind, I will take you up on that offer. What do you suggest?

Meison Declain *I smiled wide, but subdued it at her frown* We'll be working together for the foreseeable future. I suggest you turn that frown upside down and learn to deal with me. *I gripped her wrists delicately, upturning the blade in her hands* You're missing passion. You're thinking with your head, but ignoring you heart. Let the blade be an extension of you *Giving myself a wide berth from her, I demonstrated my words, moving in sync with the blade - an extension of my arms* Do you see where I'm going or am I boring you?

Satora Razza ~I lowered my sword to the ground, ignoring his advice about me and concentrating on his actions. His movements were graceful and hypnotizing to watch. He had what I wanted, needed. I continued to follow him as he moved around the clearing, murmuring a single word without thought.~ Beautiful. ~Seeing the lift of his brow, I knew he had heard my whisper and it only added to what already intrigued me about this male.~

{Lessons} Satora feels Clumsy

Satora Razza   ~Now that the Dome has officially opened, the crowds have increased in preparation of the human's holiday season. My office overlooks the shopping area and all appears business as usual. Reviewing the information on the tenants in the mall as well as the apartment complex, I memorize it. Restless, I pace my office and look at the arena. Perhaps it was time to get back into the ring.~

~I make my way to my changing room in the arena and slip on exercise clothes before heading into the ring. Only the cleaning crew is around so I pull out my sword and go through the movements, getting used to the feel of it in my hand while in the ring. I still feel clumsy with it, my balance off but quitting is not an option.~

{Lessons} Satora is Not Alone

Satora Razza  ~I swung the sword around solidly hitting the tree but my form was still off. Frustrated, I stepped back and looked around, ready to scream in anger when I hear footsteps on the path behind me. Steadying my stance, I wait to see if it is friend or foe by the light of the moon.~

Top of Form
Satora Razza ~I listened closely and knew that it was a Breed that approached me. A few more seconds and either I would know his identity or he would cease to exist.~

Satora Razza ~The blood in my veins pulsed hard and in that moment, I knew what had been missing from my training. The violence. The feel of steel meeting steel and then skin. I shivered lightly and inhaled, registering the scent of one of my assistants in security for the Dome.~

Satora Razza ~Without another thought, I turned and jumped in front of him, the long blade of my sword at his throat. A few seconds later I felt the cold edge of steel against my abdomen. Nodding at him in approval for reacting, I said quietly.~ That move probably saved your life. I will not abide by stupidity and ineptness within my ranks again.

Satora Razza ~Nodding again in approval of his silence and lack of offering of excuses, I inquire why he was here. He spouts off some information I had needed and I store the numbers mentally for my next project before I ask how he knew where to find me.~

Satora Razza ~He clears his throat and stares at me awkwardly for a minute but falters when I refuse to look away. <I always know where you are when you are on the premises. That is my job.> Blinking, I give him permission to leave me but realize for any true privacy, I need to find somewhere else to spar with live partners if possible.~

{Lessons} Satora tries

Satora Razza   ~Dawn was edging in, and I watched as the few Breed on the premises headed out to be safe in their homes before the sun came up. I walked to the area I had scouted out earlier behind the complex. A private sanctuary outside that was surrounded by trees and foliage unseen to those walking around. I slip my sword out and hold it up, admiring its beauty in the glow from the moon. I swing it out and miss my mark causing me to growl in anger. Balancing again, I close my eyes test the weight in my hands. I run through several steps until I am comfortable and strike again. This time I am closer but still off my mark. I will conquer this ability if I have to practice every hour of the day.~

{Lessons} Satora focuses

Satora Razza   ~I walked outside and closed my eyes as I held my head back feeling the sun beat down on my face. The warmth heated my blood and energized me. Pulling the sword from its sheath, the sun glinted off the metal and I smirked, loving the sight. I took a stance and went through the motions of warming my body up to handle the weapon. I liked the feel of it but I still felt off and was frustrated with not having mastered this. Swinging the blade wildly, it arced through the air before I planted the tip in the ground. Taking my time, I walked to the bridge and slid down, focusing my thoughts on what I needed to do.~ I will not be defeated by a sword.
