Compound: Arics helps Nathan patch the Hole

Continued from:  Thinking about Jordana

Aric Chase‎  March 26  *he checks his watch for the fifth time and mumbles*Screw it, I'm going to go bang down his damn door.*Heading down the hall with the supplies in tow he leans them against the wall and bangs on Nathan's door*DUDE! You in there?

Nathan Bishop -After clearing out the mess in my bathroom and tossing it out, I hear a banging on my door. I snort in disgust. The kid couldn't be a little patient, could he. I walk to the door and open it.- A little patience wouldn't kill you, kid. -I notice all of the supplies that he's hauled in and I walk into the hall and grab a load. We take them into the bathroom. I hear a laugh from behind me as Aric gets his first look at the current bathroom décor. I turn and give him a glare..-

Aric Chase *Grabbing the last of the supplies he follows Nathan into his room. Getting a good look at the bathroom wall he covers his mouth to stifle the chuckle as he looks around* Well Bro, you won anyway. That wall never had a chance. Want to tell me why you decided to put a window in your shower?

Nathan Bishop -If looks could kill, the kid would be dead, but I guess he isn't catching on- Leave it alone, Aric. Just leave it alone. Let's get to work. This is going to take awhile. - I glance down at my hands, noting they aren't fully healed. Shit, when was the last time that I fed? I mentally shake my head- I hope you know how to do this shit. I admit that this isn't my specialty. -I give him a hard glare, just daring him to give me grief over that one-

Aric Chase *he holds his hands up in surrender* Easy Bro, we got this. First we need to cut back the sheetrock some so we can put the new piece in place.*Reaching for the saw he makes quick work of straightening out the hole and cutting the new piece to fit.*Now just grab that hammer over there and you can nail this bitch to the wall while I hold it in place. The nails are in that bag over there.

Nathan Bishop -I watch as Aric makes quick work of his task. I grab the nails and hammer and together, we get the piece put into place over the huge hole that I made in the wall. After its secured, I turn to him- Now what? -beginning to feel foolish and useless. I'm expecting to never hear the end of this from Aric and with his mouth, the entire compound will soon know the entire fiasco. My thoughts turn momentarily to that damn dream, the cause of this shit and a low growl erupts. Aric looks over at me with a questioning look and I just shake my head.-

Aric Chase *He watches Nathan out of the corner of his eye. The Gen One had always been short tempered but this was extreme, even for him. Patching the seams he motions toward the box of tiles* Hey man, why don't you bust out that box of tile and get them lined up so the design matches.

Nathan Bishop -I walk over to the box of tiles. Silently, I rip open the box and pull out the tiles. Looking back at the shower walls, I set up the tiles to match the current ones.- They are ready to go up.

Aric Chase Alright man.*taking the bucket of grout he starts to spread it over the newly repaired wall.*You start lining up the tiles over the grout and try to get it even. The object is to make it look like this never happened, you won't get shit for something no one knows about Bro.

Nathan Bishop -Going behind Aric, I line up the tiles, most of them going crooked. One falls down to the shower floor. Raw anger flares up and I toss one across the room, burying it into the door frame. I close my eyes and attempt to calm the fuck down, but it's not helping. I go back to my task, this should be simple. Hell, I'm a Gen One Breed male. I'm a warrior. I kick ass and screw the names. But this damn wall is getting the best of me.-

Aric Chase *looking at the new dent now in the door frame he frowns at Nathan*Bro, I have a number to a pretty successful anger management group, maybe you need to spend some time there. Or maybe we need to put you in a cage fight. You need to chillax Bro. WAY too much pent up energy. Can I ask you something?*pointing to the wall*Did this have anything to do with Jordana?

Nathan Bishop -At the mention of her name, I go stock still. I jerk around and glare at him- What the hell makes you think that? I barely know the female. -Attempting to get the attention back on the wall repair- We still have work to do.

Aric Chase *Taking the hint he turns back to the wall and continues layering the grout on but he just can't resist saying*Maybe you need to change that. You know, She and Carys hang out regularly and are always asking me to tag along, interested in tagging along with me sometime? Maybe get to know her a little better?*He raises his brow at Nathan*

Nathan Bishop -My eyes flash amber as my anger rears its head again.- That female belongs to another, Aric. She's not mine. There's no point in getting to know her. Besides, having a female isn't in my future... ever!

Aric Chase *Sliding around the other side of Nathan he lines up the tiles that are uneven and runs another layer of grout over them to seal them in place.*Alright man, I get the message. Just one more row down there and we should be just about done here. When you put them on the wall give them a slight push to set them into the grout, it will keep them from moving until I can go over them with the grout to seal them in.

Nathan Bishop -Finally letting go of the anger, we get the job done. With all of the tiles in place, Aric goes over them all with another layer and spreads it evenly across. We start cleaning the mess up and setting things right. I glance over at the tile projectile that landed in the door frame. I let out a sigh, reaching up and pulling it free.- It's just a small dent. I'll deal with it on another day.

Aric Chase Nah man, watch this. *Taking the grout he fills the hole in the frame with it.*See, no one will ever know. When I went to college we used to use toothpaste to fill holes we made in our wall. It is called poor mans grout. It served its purpose if the hole wasn't too big. *Running the brush over the tiles to even out the grout he dropped it into the now empty grout bucket and turned to Nathan* You aren't going to be able to shower in here for a couple of days while these set. You are more than welcome to use mine anytime you need. My door is always open Bro.

Nathan Bishop -I watch as Aric fixes the dent- I'm impressed, kid. You know your shit around this home improvement shit. -I clap him on the back- I appreciate it. Thanks for the offer. I'll probably take you up on that. -Inhaling deeply..- I could use one now, to be honest.

Aric Chase Cleaning out the shower of all the tools he smiles at Nathan*Anytime man. Been there *looks at the completed shower* Done that. Let's head back to my room. grab that bucket will you, I will grab the extra sheet rock. We can always find some use for it or maybe Brock and Jenna will need it, those freaks are always breaking shit!

Nathan Bishop Looks good, kid -grabbing the bucket, I head into my room and grab a set of clean clothes. We head out...- I owe you, kid. You did me a solid tonight.
