{Ashes to Mathias} Aine reflects

*Walking around smiling and chatting with customers, silently watching the clock, waiting for my day to be over. Stepping behind the counter, I check the books and make notes of things that need to be ordered. Staring down at the paper on the counter, my eyes go unfocused and my mind goes back to a few nights before....The touch of his skin against mine. The gentle brush of our lips.... Jerking myself away from those thoughts, I look around the silent shop. Glancing at the clock, I notice that its past closing time. Walking to the door, I flip the lock and hurry to count the money and close down the shop. I needed some alone time and I knew exactly where I would be headed for that.*

*Stepping off the elevator, looking around to make sure no one is around. Walking over to the small table, I set down my ipod speaker and plug my ipod into it. Thumbing through my playlist, I come to a song that fits the mood that I'd been in lately. Settling onto the lounger, looking up at the stars, I let my mind drift away with the melody of the song.

{Ashes to Mathias} - Mat meets Aine, Officially

Mathias Rowan  *Walking through the shopping corridors of the Dome, he shuddered thinking about the hordes of humans that had trampled through the area throughout the day. He had never understood the phenomenon but now might be the time to scout out the area and its security. He looked up, drawn to the sign with the crescent and teardrop on it. He decided it was time to get a little closer and walked through the door, inhaling more scents than even his Breed senses could sort at the moment.*

Top of Form
Aine Declain *Pushing the hair from my face as I replace the books that customers had left laying around the reading nook and left on different chairs. Hearing the bell on the door chime, I call out* I'll be right with you!

Mathias Rowan *Not bothering to answer, he scanned the small crowd still milling through the store. Nothing caught his attention so he moved on to the merchandise and was struck by the stunning beauty of some of the older pieces. He looked at one vase closely, it looked so familiar yet he knew he would have remembered it if he had ever seen it. Stopping himself from touching it, he looked over the store recalling the details from the Order's report.*

Aine Declain *Placing the last book on the shelf, walking to the front counter to ring up a customer. My eyes roaming around the shop. A tall, very handsome male catching my eye. Smiling and making small talk as I ring up and carefully wrap the customer's purchase, waiting for him to turn around. When he finally does, I recognize him from the Grand Opening. Making my way over to his side, putting on my best smile* Can I help you find anything Mr ? *raising a brow hoping he'll fill in the blank*

Mathias Rowan *Looking down into her face, he cocked his head to the side and smirked, holding out his hand and bringing it to his lips when she placed hers within his.* Mathias Rowan, at your service. Beautiful shoppe, ma'am.

Aine Declain *My smile widens at the kiss to my hand* Thank you, Mr. Rowan. I'm Aine. It's a pleasure to see you again. I was wondering when you would stop in. You caused quite a stir among the owners at the opening.

Mathias Rowan *He arched a brow at her comment.* Interesting, all I did was show up from the invitation. It is a pleasure to formally meet you. You always seem to be...surrounded in the past.

Aine Declain *laughs* Yes, I'm well watched. *gestures to all the cameras around the ceiling of the shop* So what brings you in tonight? Shopping for your mate?

Mathias Rowan *He nodded at the fixtures that he had already taken note of before smiling at her.* No mate for me, but yours must consider you a treasure. *His eyes narrowed at her familiarity with the Breed but instinctively knew she would not respond to any personal questions about her history.* Have you had any additional trouble with unwanted guests?

Aine Declain *shakes my head* A male, yes. But that would be my father, not a mate. *turns to straighten a display as I choose the words of my answer carefully* Word does get around fast sometimes. No, Mr. Rowan, I haven't had any more unwanted guests. And I pray, for their sakes, that they are never caught.

Mathias Rowan *Watching her intently, listening to her body language as much as the words she speaks. He is surprised the male is her father but manages to hide his reaction.* I am pleased to hear that there have been no other problems. *He removed a business card with his JUSTIS information listed from his wallet and handed it to her.* If you ever need help, I would be glad to be of assistance especially since I live in the complex.

Aine Declain *Holds back a smile, taking the card and reading it, my smile quickly fading. Slipping the card into my pants pocket, schooling my reaction* Thank you kindly, but my father, Mr. Rivera and Miss Razza provide all the help and protection I need. And some that I don't.

Mathias Rowan *Smirking and leaning in a little closer to her, he whispered in her ear.* I was not offering protection, Miss Aine.

Aine Declain *smirks, whispering back* If you can make it to the Penthouse unscathed, we'll talk about the services you'd like to offer.

Mathias Rowan *Arching his brow again, he picked her hand up and kissed the knuckles.* I see you like to live dangerously. Perhaps you will be seeing me again in the future. *He winked as he walked toward the exit.* Have a good evening, sweetheart.

Aine Declain *giggles walking back to the register to take care of another customer ~He's going to be a lot of fun to get to know better~ Handing back the change* Have a nice night. And thank you for shopping at Teardrops.

{Atlanteans} Teardrops From the Moon - Grand Opening Ceremony

Teardrops From the Moon - Grand Opening {Atlanteans}: November 2, 2013
Dia: *Pacing the office, I look down into the atrium where the crowd was gathering. The big night was finally here after so many delays. Reaching for the phone to find out where the hell Meison was I hear the click of the door as Satora enters the office followed by my partner and Aine. Growling* It's about bloody time you got your asses here. I was about to have the ceremony start with out you.

Satora: ~I looked up at Dia then glanced at my watch pointedly.~ A little impatient are we? Everything is fine, I had to settle a few last minute issues but it has been taken care of. Evening Mr.DeclainAine

Meison: *Extending my hand forward to shake with Dia despite his impatience* Relax. Tonight will go splendidly if not, there will be dire consequences to those who interrupt our joyous occasion. Aine, dearest, are you ready for your big unveil?

Aine: *leaning against the wall just inside the door, my stomach in knots over the opening of my shop. Turning when I hear my name, giving Meison my sweetest smile* As I can be.

Mathias: *He looked out at the crowd gathering below, scanning the area for signs of trouble. He never liked crowds and mixing humans, Breeds, and alcohol was never a good idea to him. He would take his time and gather as much information as he could. He was curious to know what, and not just who, was behind this concept.*

Dia: *Taking our places on the stage. I look across the crowd. There are several influential Breed leaders along with government officials and their date. The mayor of the city gives the opening speech, followed by several government dignitaries. When all the honored guest had spoken Meison and I take the floor.* Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to thank you for coming this evening to celebrate the Grand Opening of the state of the art, multi functional complex......*Finishing my speech I turn and introduce my partner and associates to the crowd*

Satora: ~I followed Dia down to the reception area and nodded to each of my guards as we passed. They had strict orders for tonight and disobedience was not among them, nor was trouble. Anything out of the ordinary was to be dealt with quietly and quickly. Stepping up to the stage, I surveyed the area again watching Dia's back as he made his speech. My gaze strayed to the Declain's, still intrigued by their presence.~

Meison: *Taking a sip of wine, I continued the speech that Dia had began* It is our hope that this will foster a connection between the Breed, humans and perhaps other creatures that might inhabit this earth *Chuckling, a clue that everyone else should join in the "joke"* As you can see for yourselves, we've spared no expense. This is a vision that my partner and I fully understand and hope to see to fruition *Raising my glass in salute* To the promising future

Aine: *Following behind my father, standing slightly off to the side holding my glass of wine. Shaking my head at his attempt at a joke. Taking a small sip as I look out over the crowd. Giving Meison's cheek a kiss as he comes back to stand beside us* Very well said. You've always had such a way with words.

Mathias: *He listened to the cookie cutter speeches and worked his way up to the "officials". It was time to meet all the players in this little game. Dia took the scissors from a lackey and stood at the ribbon ready to cut it and as he looked around at the observers, I made sure he was aware of me. Smirking, he lifted his glass to Dia and mouthed "congratulations".*

Dia: As I cut the ribbon I locked gazes with a face from the past. Leaning towards Satora. I whisper* Looks like we have a visitor from the past. Keep an eye on him. If he's around then there may be others from The Order close by.

Satora: ~Nodding to let him know I heard, I eyed the Agent. It was not a surprise that he was present since he lived in the apartment complex but I was surprised to see him front and center. I reached down and felt the hilt of my knife letting him follow my move. I gave the Agent a smirk of my own and tipped my glass at him.~

Meison: *It was interesting to watch, the power play between us all. I frowned internally, making sure to keep the disturbance off my face. The agent from a few months ago had made another bold appearance. It would soon be time to deal with him once and for all* Aine, is there anything you would like to share with our guests? Perhaps invite them to buy some authentic pieces

Aine: *watching Dia and Satora closely, following their gazes and the way they look at the Breed male up front. Turning my attention to Meison as he asks me to speak, trying to hold back a groan* Oh you know how much I hate speaking in public. *sighs* But if it will make you happy, I will. *walking up to the mic, I let me eyes flow over the crowd* I'd like to invite you all to enjoy the shops and stores that have not been previously open. Teardrops from the Moon is one that is opening tonight. Please feel free to browse and maybe take home something special.

Mathias: *He watched the play and smiled to himself, moving closer as Dia and his party started to mingle after the speeches. He caught up with the beautiful young lady, curious to know how she fit in to all of this.* Interesting name for a shoppe. Any meaning behind it?

Dia: *Making my way through the crowd toward followed closely by Meison we make our way to Mathias. Stopped by a group of reporter. I look back at my business partner.* I'll take care of the press you keep an eye on your daughter. That cop is up to no good.

Satora: ~Keeping a small distance from Dia, I looked around the crowd, bored and wondering if I could find a distraction. I watched Meison frowning at the interaction of his daughter and the Agent and tried to get a feel for what was going on but I got nothing. Stepping up beside him, I whispered.~ She is all grown up, Mr. Declain. However, he is Breed and would have no real interest in her.

Meison: It matters not. She is my daughter and I must protect her *Walking up to the scene, I slide an arm around Aine protectively. It was a silent nod that she didn't have to answer anything. I would handle this* I see you've taken an interest in another situation. I'm curious to know what your business is here

Aine: *smiling at the male before me* Thank you. It was from...*feeling an arm wrap around my shoulder, I turn and see the unhappy look in my father's eyes and the clipped tone of his voice* Daddy, he's a guest and I'm sure he means no harm. *smiles again at the male as I pull out from under Meison's arm and link mine through it* I'm sorry, but we have some things that need to be attended to concerning the shop. Enjoy your evening.

Mathias: *He arched his brow at the male.* Why I was invited to this little shindig. Did you not see my name on the invitation list? *He had a look of mild surprise before schooling his features.* Well, well. It looks like someone had a little miscommunication. No problem, I'll be around for awhile. I'll be sure to catch you later. Miss Declain, we shall finish this conversation another time. *Nodding to the ladies, he stepped away, knowing he would be the topic of their conversations in the future. They knew he was there so his mission was accomplished.*

Patrol: Hunter, Kade, and Rio spot Teardrops with Gid

Gideon Breed   *Having spent most of the early evening reviewing records and running the info through several search programs, I'm frustrated to not be further along in my brainstorming. Hitting up the patrol rotation schedule, I send off a text to Rio, Hunter and Kade, asking them to check out two new addresses associated with Dia, as well as a note to take another look around The Dome. I know that usually where that male is connected, trouble of the pain in the ass variety follows. — with Kade Breed and 3 others.

Top of Form
Hunter GenOne *Hearing my phone go off, I pick it up and read the text. Scanning the addresses, I closed my phone and grabbed my gear.* Gotta head out babe. I'll see you before dawn. * Kissing Corinne goodbye, I got my keys and headed for Gid's lab to wait for Kade and Rio*

Kade Breed *Glancing over at the training room table where my phone was chillin, I jog over and grab it before it vibrates off the top and onto the floor. Reading the message on the screen, I look over at Rio and nod* Looks like we got one, Bro. Grab your shit, let's go.

Gideon Breed *shooting the shit with Hunter as we wait for Rio & Kade. When they arrive, I grab the ear pieces, sync their comms, and slide them across the table to them. While they get their gear fitted, I go over the addies once again* Listen up girl scouts, watch your backs down there at the Dome, it may look posh and high class, but don't forget the low life who runs the place, or his fight club friends he surrounds himself with.

Hunter GenOne *Putting the ear piece in place, I listened as he went over everything again. Dia was slime but he put up a good front.* Will do Gid. *Turning to Kade and Rio, I took my keys out of my pocket.* I'm driving

Kade Breed *nodding to Hunter as I fit my gear and consider the task at hand* Gonna be a fun night, Boys *throwing a duffle full of recon gear over my shoulder, I follow Hunter out the door*

Hunter GenOne You can walk Rio, I wouldn't have a problem with that. *Putting the truck in gear, we headed out. Arriving downtown in record time, I parked the truck and we went the rest of the way on foot.*

Kade Breed *Surveying the area as we move towards the Dome my hand subconsciously slides to my weapons belt, resting comfortably on the handle of my blade. Turning to my brothers as we approach the complex I shake my head as their argument over the choice of vehicle continues* Are you ladies done bitching yet? From the looks of it we're dealing with a Breed who's flashing some swagger and the LAST thing I need is to have the two of you getting your panties in a bunch over it. *flashing fang with a grin* Man up, it's workin time.

Gideon Breed *Listening to the conversation, between them, I pull up the video feed from micro cams they are sporting. I ask them to try and turn their bodies casually, to eventually capture a 360* view. I have been hacking into the security feeds in the building but Dia has some sharp employees, and they usually detect my presence in their system within twenty four to forty-eight hours, so the intel of the changes in the layout of the place, and finishing touches will come in handy* OK ladies, I won't bother saying to blend in, but try not to break anyone. Keep the comms open, and let's see what turns up.

Hunter GenOne *Moving through the mass of humanity, I scanned the area for security. Glancing up, I see a sign. Not believing what I saw, I looked up again.* You guys seeing this shit. *The sign read "Teardrops From The Moon" and the graphic on the sign was a breedmate's symbol.* What the hell is going on?

Kade Breed *Slowly finishing a full circle for surveillance sake, I look up to see what Hunter was talking about* Gid, You reading this? *Taking a few steps closer to the windows to peek inside, I take note of a variety of antique looking items* Shit, guys, look at this. Some of this stuff looks eerily familiar.

Gideon Breed Bloody hell. *Staring at the HD image from the cameras, I know immediately that the pieces on display on the "Not for sale" shelves are eerily similar to some of the pieces we have collected, there is no way the symbols are coincidentally that similar. Even the shop name and logo scream breedmate. Dia and his lackeys are definitely balls deep in it* Yeah Kade, I'm on it, see if you guys can get as much footage of those items from as many angles as possible. Maybe when they are open for business, we can send the girls on a shopping spree.

Rio Atanacio *Snapping a few pictures with his phone he up loads them to Gideon Breed. Some of the pieces were very similar to what he and Dylan had seen the other night at the Smithsonian. As he squats down to take another picture he catches a glimpse of a guard's reflection in the window. Standing he turns slowly his hand slipping into his pocket and palming his glock* Evening officers.

Hunter GenOne *Swearing under my breath, I turn to face the cops* Evening Gentleman. ~Would you care to explain why you are looking in that store window and taking pictures?~ We are just checking out the store. it is some place our wives would like to come shop.   No harm no foul man. ~I think it's time the three of you left the property.~ *Turning, we left without giving an answer. We go enough information to start, something for Gideon to look into. Getting to the truck, I radio to Gid.* We are on our way out. Will be back to the compound in 15.

Gideon Breed *Receiving the final images from their feed, I start a cross referencing program running immediately, checking the new images against ones Jenna and Dare have cataloged. I answer Hunter absently as my eyes watch the images pull up side by side on my monitor* Damn. no way these items aren't related. Time to call the boss. I need to set up a meeting with Lucan and see how he wants this handled.

{Atlanteans} Aine Declain Status

Aine Declain: *placing the last book on the shelf, I step back and turn around slowly, taking in the entire shop* Well Momma, how does it look? It's finally gonna happen. Everything is ready for opening day. *Walking behind the counter, I pick up the photo album I'd brought with me and take it over to the reading nook and sits down on the floor. Opening the book, I start to flip through the pictures. One's of Momma pregnant. Me as a baby. Me in different Halloween costumes. Momma and daddy in each others arms. Running my fingers over a picture of them together* Momma, I miss you so very much. I wish you were here to do this with me. It was always your biggest dream. *sighing, I wipe the tears from my eyes and go to gather my things. Locking the door behind me, I walk out into the warm sunshine, smiling as it caresses my skin*
