Mathias Rowan
February 27
*He arrived at the Dome from the JUSTIS Headquarters, frustrated with his recruits. He wondered at times if he should scrap them all and start over. He looked down the mall aisle and the Teardrops sign caught his attention. Maybe it was time to pay Miss Declain another
visit. Glancing into the windows of the store, he took note of the ancient
looking objects there before opening the door.* — with Aine Declain.
Aine
Declain *Pushing my hair out of my face, setting another
empty box to the side to be recycled. Cataloging the new items, I pick one up
and head for the ladder to put it on the shelf. Hearing the bell above the door
chime, I call out* Hello! Welcome to Teardrops. Feel free to look around, I'll
be with you in just a minute.
Mathias
Rowan *He heard her call out a greeting and mumbled a hello
while scanning the area for anything different or unusual. He was still
perplexed at why she chose that symbol and decided it was time to dig a little
deeper. Walking up to a bookshelf, he picked up a book and thumbed through the
pages waiting on Aine to make an appearance.*
Aine
Declain *Climbing back down the ladder, I stroll over to
the male that had entered, smiling as he turns around* Why Mr. Rowan, what a pleasant surprise. What brings
you in today?
Mathias
Rowan *He ran a hand through his hair, the feeling of exhaustion hitting him hard. Damn it, he needed to feed and soon.* I need a gift for a couple I know back in Boston, thought I could find something in here. *He blinked and looked at her again. No scent, no breedmate, and he could scrub her memory when he was done.*
Aine
Declain *turns my back as I slowly look around my shop,
thinking about what to offer him* Something for their home perhaps? I have some
lovely vases or decorative pieces that would look perfect on a mantle. *turning
back to face him, watching as his eyes finish their trek up my body* Any
thoughts?
Mathias
Rowan *Nodding, he made a show of looking around.* Works for
me. How about you pick something out and wrap it up? I'll pick it up tomorrow
to take with me. You can put it on my account?
Aine
Declain I can do that. *walks over to the register and
pulls out a form* If I can get you to fill out your information I can charge it
to your room. *placing a pen on top of the form, I take another look around and
walk over to pick up a silver statue and move it back where it should be.* Do
you have plans for this evening Mr. Rowan?
Mathias
Rowan *He quickly filled out the information resisting the urge to comment that he was sure her father already had it.* No plans, really. Find dinner, catch up on some reading, you know the usual. *Grinning, down at her, he arced a brow, waiting on her response.*
Aine
Declain I was just thinking, I don't have anything planned
for the evening. Maybe you would care to come up and get to know each other
better? *bites my lip and looks up at him from under my lashes*
Mathias
Rowan *He nodded, hiding his fangs.* I can handle that. *He
looked around the store, noticing nothing unusual.* Do you want to meet later
or are you through here?
Aine
Declain *Looking at my watch, then back at him* I'm just
about finished. I just have to cash out my register. Would you mind waiting a
few minutes?
Mathias
Rowan *He sighed and wondered what the hell he was doing.
He really should go find a club and get dinner then pass out for two days but
he found himself responding to her.* Not at all, just let me know when you are
ready.
Aine
Declain *ducking my head to hide my smile, I open the
register and pull out the drawer* Feel free to look around. I'll be in my
office for just a few minutes. *Closing the door to my office, turning the lock
and sitting down. I quickly count and recount the money, checking the total against my records. Satisfied with
the results, I put the money in a lock box and slide it into the safe in the
floor. Setting the alarm on the safe and my office, I lock the door and head
back into the shop* All done. Are you ready?
Mathias
Rowan Of course, after you *holding the door for her to walk
through, he waited for her to lock up and followed her to the elevators*
