*It's a peaceful night and I promised Aric Chase that I'd make him some spaghetti for dinner tonight for his help with washing my car the other day. With water starting to boil on the stove, the ground beef already cooked and now simmering in the sauce, I lean against the counter adding butter and garlic and cheese to some bread. I have to smile when I here Aric enter the room.* It's not quite done yet bub, but you can keep me company. Just don't do anything to make a mess. Aunt Savannah will skin us alive.

  Aric Chase *He walks into the kitchen and inhales the aroma of Carys' sauce* Damn Car, that smells great!*giving her a quick hug he lifts the cover off the pan to check it out.*

  Carys Chase I promised you dinner remember? *Grinning at him as he places the lid back on the pan. Hey, throw the spaghetti noodles in the boiling water for me? I'll make a salad real quick if you do. *When he nods, I busy myself cleaning the lettuce and chopping up everything that will go in the salad.*

  Aric Chase *he adds the pasta to the boiling water and places the cover back on the pot.*Anything else I can help with Sis? Need me to set the table?

  Carys Chase That would be great, bub. Thanks! *While he sets the table I mix up the salad and set the bowl on the table. Turning back to the stove I check the sauce and the noodles. Leaning a hip against the counter, I wipe my hands on a dish towel and toss it at Aric with a laugh*

  Carys Chase Just because. *Laughing at him as he shakes his head.* Is there a Pepsi or a Mtn Dew in there? If so, pick one of the two, that's what I want. *Going back to check on the noodles, I fish one out to test it. Turning towards Aric I hold the spoon out to him* Is this done enough? Or does it need to cook longer?

  Aric Chase *he pours 2 glasses of Mountain Dew for them and sets them at the table. Returning to the stove he slides the spaghetti off the spoon and throws it at the wall. It sticks. He turns to Carys with a grin* Yep, done

  Carys Chase *Cracking up, I shake my head at him* You better clean that off, Savvy will get us both if we make a mess in here. *Grabbing the strainer I set it in the sink and take the pot of pasta from the stove to drain it. returning I turn off the now unused burner and check the sauce. Tasting it and satisfied it's ready I turn the burner off for it and grab a bowl for the pasta. One the food is on the table we both sit down to eat. Smelling garlic I get up quickly, remembering my bread in the oven. Aric laughs when I take it out, happy that it didn't burn.* I almost flippin forgot about the bread!

  Aric Chase *he laughs as he loads their plates* I did too!*as she sets the bread on the table and sits beside him he takes her hand*Thank you Sis, this all looks so delicious.* Releasing her hand he picks up his fork and digs in*

  Carys Chase You're welcome, thanks for helping me wash and clean out my car. *Watching him eat for a moment before I dig into my food. I moan as I chew and dip my bread in the sauce for my next bite* Damn, I did good, huh?

  Aric Chase *swallowing the mouthful he had, he nods* Absolutely! This is excellent. I love the bread, there is so much garlic in it! It's a damn good think garlic doesn't bother us! *taking another bite he slurps up a stray noodle*

  Carys Chase *Laughing, I reach across the table and grab a napkin and hand it to Aric.* Can't have you wearing your dinner now, can we? *Soon we are both on our second helping of everything and I am quickly becoming stuffed.*

  Aric Chase *cleaning his plate he takes it to the sink to rinse & put in the dishwasher. Helping her clear the table and put away the leftovers he wipes down the table, counters, and the wall. Grabbing a towel he begins to dry the pots & pans and put them up.* Sis, I will gladly help you clean your car anytime you want to cook for me again. You have outdone yourself tonight. Thank you

  Carys Chase Thank you, Bub. And, you have yourself a deal. *Taking the dry pots and pans I put them away before turning on the dishwasher.* You want to watch tv or something? I bet we can find some reruns of The Big Bang Theory.

  Carys Chase *Settling beside him, I sigh. Stuffed to the gills, I yawn and get comfy while he finds our show. * Elbow me if I fall asleep bub. That pasta made me sleepy. *He keeps flipping through the channels and I reach over and take the remote. Finding the channel we luck out and the show is just starting. Sitting back again, I watch the show and laugh with Aric at anything Sheldon does,*
