{SOL} Dylan and Lucan

Rio had gotten a called to head out and provide back up for Niko and Kade. He'd kissed her forehead and then asked her to return the UV amino to the safe before leaving. They had been looking at it again and still trying to find connections to the lab and new or old enemies.
He'd been gone about an hour when she decided she best put the box back. Since everyone was out or busy with their mates, so she wasn't to concerned about having the box in her possession. The back stairway was the quickest route to the safe in the weapons area, so Dylan headed down the corridor toward the stairs.
She was about half way down the stairs when she heard steps coming toward her. Staying calm she slid the box into the back waist band of her pants. Taking a few more steps downward, she hoped it'd stay hidden in a sense until she could get past whoever was coming her way.

  • Lucan Thorne *Finishing up at the range, he returned the borrowed practice pieces to their storage locker, grabbed his personal weapon, holstering it and headed for the exit. Before he crossed the threshold into the hall he heard light footsteps coming his way. Assuming it was Mira or Jenna on their way for some stress leaving target practice of their own, he is surprised when he comes across Dylan. The small smile leaves his face when he notices the color fade from her cheeks* Dylan, what is it, are you ok? *Reaching for his phone to text Rio* Do you need your mate?

  • Dylan Alexander When she saw it was Lucan, Dylan almost froze; but she pulled it together not realizing her reaction showed. "No, I'm good. Rio left a while ago to help Niko and Kade. I... I was just... " Think quickly what was she doing. She hadn't done anything wrong, but she was sure that Lucan wasn't going to like that she had the UV bullets. "I was just taking a walk around the compound to kill time and I haven't been this way very so I thought I'd come this way." Even to her it sounded lame, but it was too late to go back now.

  • Lucan Thorne *Folding his arms across his chest, he tilts his head slightly and arches an eyebrow at the stammering reply he receives*. You know Dylan, I'm much older than Rio , older than every warrior in this compound beside Tegan. I was reading humans for over nine hundred years before you were born. Not to mention I've been figuring out my mate for the last few decades. You are wearing the same look Gabrielle has when she's about to ask to run out on one of her daylight photo missions and is trying to break it to me gently. Let's skip the small talk, and just tell me what brings you down here.

  • Dylan Alexander Shifting from foot to another, she knew she could spin another tale and the last thing she wanted to do was cause an issue. "I'm just returning something. I should have done it earlier, but I got distracted with somethings I found online." Reaching around her back she pulled out the box. "I'll just put it up and then be gone. Promise, I won't stay down here any longer than I need to." She knew she was talking fast, she did that when she was nervous.

  • Lucan Thorne *Recognizing the box and emblem on the front as one he had seen a short time ago, he resists the urge to take a step back* Dylan, would I be correct in assuming that the box you're holding in front of me contains some pretty nasty fire power? I know it isn't the box I personally delivered to Gideon, which he has on lock down in the lab. So I can only assume your mate has been out on his own covert missions again. *Reaching out to take the box, he masks the unease he feels at handling the deadly UV bullets* I'll take that off your hands and see that it is properly stored. Immediately after which, I'll be contacting your mate. I hope you aren't expecting him after patrol, because trust me, he will be unreachable for some time; he has some explaining to do.

  • Dylan Alexander Biting her lower lip, she was reluctant to hand over the box. "Please, it's not Rio's fault that it's out. It's mine. I was trying to research the logo and the letters stamped on the bullets. I know I shouldn't have gotten it out, but a photo doesn't show all the details." Her grip on the box tightened for a few moments, but she knew she had to give it up. Very reluctantly she gave Lucan the box, knowing that if she didn't it would only make things worse.

  • Lucan Thorne *Giving her as relaxed a smile as he can muster, he tucks the box under his arm* I respect the fact that you want to shield your mate, even though he'd never allow it, *he gives her a wink* we breed are stubborn that way. However, this new box was brought into the compound once again without my knowledge. Rio and I need a little sit down, and it's going to happen tonight. Have a good evening Dylan. I'll try not to keep him too long and send him back to you in one piece.

  • Dylan Alexander She watched Lucan turn and head away. Heading back to the stairs she pulled out her cell and decided she best give Rio a heads up. Texting quickly. ~ Went to return the UV bullets and ran into Lucan. He took the bullets and wants to speak to you when you get back. I'm sorry, I tried to hide them. ~ then she hit send just as she got back to their quarters.
